I played Minecraft in windows 7, runs poorly at 10 - 20 fps with much bsod's tries mc in windows 8.1 gets 30-200 fps, but kinda unstable gets windows 10, open's Minecraft, gets 40 - 100 fps but very stable I think this laptop hated windows 7 so much

I had a kid in my space sciences class insisting that Windows 8 is amazing and Windows 7 is complete garbage and should never be used. I noticed right away that he was using a Mac laptop. If you are using an Apple computer, if you even OWN an Apple product, don't ever try to speak to me as an expert on what's good and what's crap. Perry Davis If it works for your artistic pursuits, then great. I've had the misfortune of trying to use an Apple computer for scientific work, and powerful software under Windows or Linux somehow turns into a toy designed for a lobotomized toddler when it gets ported over to Mac. It's amazing how something can be dumbed down and yet more complicated to use at the same time. You spend 20 minutes trying to figure out how to do a simple operation that should have taken a few seconds. I would rather set my own face on fire than ever use another Apple product.

***** Well, a Haswell i5 is completely unnecessary seeing as the performance difference compared to sandy bridge - they come around for ~$200, a 128gb ssd is around $100 - 150 and 4gb is piss poor inexpensive ($40?). Just because you know programming languages it does not instantly give you a massive knowledge in hardware. I don't even know why you're using them in Raid 0, Raid 5 suits your situation much better.
