I sang with Robert Shaw in Cleveland Ohio in the 1960s. It was a glorious experience.

Last year my high-school choir performed this and it makes me miss choir so much we kicked the hell out of this piece

This piece is so exquisitely crafted. Singing those funky tritone leaps on the words “domum “ (tenor part) was scrumptious, every single time.

Like living in a dream: those who don't know about Poulenc...are missing out on one of music's greatest weaver of dreams...

Thomas Murphy you said it! This piece haunts me, it's so beautiful. Poulenc was somehow able to capture the excitement and the joy the wise men must have felt upon seeing the Lord Jesus. I am in love with this piece.

a part from this ugly english accent here and there.. these T and D spat and this over articulation that has nothing to do in a latin that has to be softly pronounced here, since it is a french composition, it is perfection, I agree!
