This guy speaks my language! He's an engine guy who knows his shit, not a purist who's stuck on one thing, but open minded and well versed in many platforms. We never heard anyone else talking and comparing so many great engines.. m10, m20, m50, m52, s52, n54, n55, s63, hemi apache, k, b, h, jz, rb, 4g, coyote, daza, aan, 3b...

@TheFramos318 I'm in south jersey. I want to turbo my e46 m3.. Should be good for 600hp stock block right. If it's a healthy block I mean! I seen way more power on vids but don't want much at 1st that's down the road.

Met Frank at 2014 H2oi when I had my 325is e30. Bruh was sitting on the side of Coastal chillin and I asked about his build. I thought it was a m3...when I tell you, he schooled me on not only his build but bmw's in general, changed my life. I loved BMW's but I didn't know how deep the rabbit hole went with the lore or what was possible with the various engine platforms. I continued to see Frank at events/tracks like Englishtown, and he was always beating cars he had no business beating, but would break and showed up better like nothing happened. I hit him up when I was building my m52b28 and he gave me the same formula he said in the vid. I ended up going a different direction, building my s54, but everything he's saying is straight-up facts. Frank is the truth, and I'm glad he did this interview. This podcast is goated. But, now I have to port my s54 exhaust lol.

The knowledge from this Man is just pure awesome. When people truly know what they’re talking about and he’s not even cocky about it, he’s just having a conversation about his amazing car. And after being brought up then on the pod, much respect from racer to racer and builder to builder. Far beyond my skill today but this is gold of information

Bro this was refreshing having someone who truly knows his stuff. You should interview Devin Niemela hes the first 2020? Type R AWD. Theres also this crazy smart engineer who built the 1st AWD Mustang. He fabs and programs just about everything in his home garage and his channel is No Production Value Garage. It would be awesome to get some more innovative small time builders who really actually know what they're doing while pushing the boundaries.

But as a "retired" racer im happy to see people still pushing the platform 20 years later. Also cool hearing rktunes.. we sold jordan our tube chassis e36 back in day.

Everything he said is facts about the dealer capping and making you send money on repair. But definitely learned a lot bout gear ratios from this

The road car F1 engines with over 100,000miles is called a seasoned block. When it's gone through that many heat cycles is removes the impurities from the iron. All formula 1 cars manufacturers did it back then.

lol yes an no, the blocks were left outside based on a theory of cryo-freezing, which would make particles tighter and more “dense” increasing rigidity.

Boost by rpm is also great in stand alone ecus, Many turbo cars are ruined with that 4000-5000 turbo spike and after that its only wheelspin. Tuneup boostmap by rpm and its possible to make more useable powerband
