tough out. most average players would've taken that shot and played a bank this is the difference in a world class player and average

Joshua Haynes Man, you are so right. I myself was expecting top right English, but not the bank!
@joshuahaynes74137 жыл бұрын
Elias Antonas he had to much angle to work with and he didnt wanna risk a scratch letting the cue ball go like that
@andrew_owens76806 жыл бұрын
And its just that little bit less ball that he hits for the bank that keeps him from smacking it hard. It doesn't take much force then to get to the other side with the cue. I would not have seen that shot, much less made in in a hill hill match with lots of money riding on it. That's why he's Bustamante.

Things learned in this video: - Django is far from done; - Pagulayan is one of the funniest, coolest, most talented cats in pro pool; - the awesome, totally genuine mutual respect and friendship shared between many of the Pinoy pro players. Awesome...that last part is something most all pro players need to embrace more fully. :)

I don't get why he didn't hit the 7 soft with a little bit of follow leaving himself a good angle on the 8 instead of the draw shot. He made the rack much harder than it should be.
@POVPOOL Жыл бұрын
Possibly table conditions. If you hit that ball firm you generally shoot with more accuracy. I would venture to guess, combination of adrenaline and preventing a bad roll on a slow shot.

I must be missing something. Why didn’t Francisco shoot the 7 with follow and ergo create the angle that would naturally bring the cue ball into position for the 9?

bank shot is way beyond me, what a shot by django.
@liakosliakos3487 жыл бұрын
physika play more 1 pocket brother! Django played 2 way shot, if he missed he would of left 8 ball on one side of table and cue on other!
@physika7 жыл бұрын
why not the usual top right and go 2 rails back to the 9 ?
@inycepoo7 жыл бұрын
Not enough angle, speed required would be twice that of the 1-pocket bank, rail made it difficult to access proper part of cue ball. If cue ball were off the rail, spinning the 8 in with mostly right spin and a little top would've done the trick but he could only use the tippy top portion = not enough action
@arpeemac7 жыл бұрын
he would need to force follow the shot with inside english and pray that it does not hit the 10. what makes this shot harder is that the cue ball is next to the rail. huge percentage missing that shot.

Excellent play. If he misses, he leaves the balls on opposite ends. I didn’t see it. But that’s what separates the great ones from a person like myself.
@POVPOOL5 жыл бұрын
that's right. it's a 2way shot to play a safety. notice the speed at which he hits the 8.

would a shot to the corner pocket with force follow and a touch of right english work in this case?
@martinmartin86665 жыл бұрын
I guess it would.but i think you have to hit it harder.and apparently he wasn't comfortable with it.he is a pro in banking shots.from what I've learned playing always go for the shot you are comfortable with.

I think he played the wrong shot...the bank was lower % and he still almost got on top of the 9 ball..position from both shots was hard so why take a harder shot?I'd bet money he misses that bank more than he makes it...

I understand the 'honor/respect' thing on the last ball ... BUT I would let them shoot it every time. I've seen the best prove their humanity missing easy, up close shots you think they'd never miss. Same thing in golf.
@POVPOOL7 жыл бұрын
You're right, anything can happen but, in this case I think Alex was being a good sport toward his elder Busti who, honestly played a phenomenal out.
