Hey guys! I just wanted to address the notion that this video and other videos on my channel similar to it are "made by AI." The only two things in this video generated by AI are the actual speaking of the voiceover and a two or three AI generated images for some pictures I couldn't find online. All of the words in the voiceover were written by me, just spoken by the AI voice. This video took hours of writing and editing and didn't want that to go to waste, but in the future, as much as it pains me, I will record more voiceovers the old fashioned way. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up. There’s just too much bullshit content out there with AI voice, and the ruins it for everyone.

People who think that this totally made by AI are ignorant and not well versed in what you can do with AI systems these days. As if you could fetch and weave all this together with AI automatically.

Very cool history of my favorite game. Being older, I’m not into the whole AI stuff and voices. But still I found this very interesting while cringing at the computer voice. Still, it was much worse a few years ago. Us boomers won’t ever accept the inaccuracies and fake voices of AI technology but I guess we don’t matter anymore. You’re a fine pool player and this was an interesting history of the game. Efren is still the best and he’s from our era.

Just an amazing job and an excellent video!! Everything on line with another documentary about our beloved sport i have watched 2 decades ago. If i may...meanwhile you were extremely analytical and thorough with every different type of billiards, you forgot to mention 5 birilli and Goriziana, 2 great billiard games invented by Italians. Wish you all the best!!🙂

The '70s throughout the early millenial years were also completely skipped. It is just badly structured. Too much AI and matchroom here.. 🤣 Snooker was just let down and likewise many important players. ... Leaves content for another documentary about just pool billiards, its players, brands and tournaments in the 20th and 21st century...
@godjhaka7376Ай бұрын
Why not make your own video with your own perception and ideas of pool? You forget just because something is posted or online don't mean it's factual, even truthful, and definitely not the entire story. So you can tell a part of the story you wish to hear about.

"The Hustler " featured an all night 14.1 between Paul Newman and Jackie Gleason (who was a very good player in his own right). Nine ball was the game of choice in "The Color of Money " starring Tom Cruise and Paul Newman (as a returning Fast Eddie Felson). It's good to know that over the decades, most professional pool players were genuine gentlemen.

There was a mistake where you say that 'The Hustler' popularised 9 ball when you ment 'The Color of Money'. I think it’s important to mention that in the modern era you really should have discussed Snookers popularity and influence more, particularly it’s prominence from the late 70's to the early 90's easily being the most popular televised billiard sport during this time with 1985's world champion final reaching 18.5 million viewers till 1am (snooker players also being on par with footballers and musicians with fame and popularity in the uk). Side note: It'd be better to hear you speak rather than rely on AI or if not you please hire an actor to read it (we need the work😅) Otherwise good stuff and looking forward to new stuff.

I was searching for information about the history of billiards, but I couldn't find any substantial content anywhere. Thank you for providing this information. However, I did notice something peculiar. Between the years 1900 and 1950, pool tables were 10 feet in length. Why were they subsequently reduced to 9 feet? It seems counterintuitive that they would become smaller over time; one might expect them to have grown larger. Additionally, pool balls during the period of 1950 to 1980 were made of clay. Earl mentioned that these balls did not accumulate as much chalk on the cue ball as the ones used today.

I believe 8 ball's popularity was due to coin operated tables in bars. You can't pull balls out and spot them back on the table, like in a billard hall, without putting more money in the table.
