I believe I have a Franck Muller watch, but don't know where to authenticate it. I am in South Africa.

Not sure if any FM owners here have a Crazy hour Vanguard (mine is 2022 an Asian model Black right red outline). No doubt a very solid nice watch, but the issue i have is the power reserve and movement itself. I would say it's 36-38hours power reserve at most. And a quick example, if you pick it up when its out of power, you need to shake and move the watch for a good 15-20seconds before you see the seconds hand moving. Compared to my Rolex/Tudor/Omega/cartier. Those can start within 5 seconds. I also noticed every week its 1minute slower. Should I take it in for service? its just under 1 year. Has anyone opened these movements? Are they really just a modified eta?

Can’t you simply pull the crown and wind the movement to get the balance going? Most likely it’s an ETA movement, so an initial wind should be easy (just like automatics from Rolex, Tudor, Omega, Cartier).

I feel so bad for you guys that AP servicing had been bad for you guys. My first service was actually positive from my end in London. Rolex is the one i had an issue with due to unreliable times of how long service time was suppose to. 2 watches now had extended to months instead from agreed time.

I second this! I’ve seen a Frank Muller and the wear comfort and the design is better for me than RM. RM also feels too hard to read and big
