I remember when I was a little kid in the 70's and I was with my aunt at her work. Store was Van Horn's outside of Detroit, MI and Arnold was there promoting some equipment or clothing or something after the 76 or 77 Mr. O title. We walked around the corner and my aunt bounced off his chest. Crashed right into him and almost fell on her ass. He caught her, they exchanged pleasantries and we continued on our way. Had no clue who she had, quite literally, just ran in to. Wasn't until Conan the Barbarian came out that I realized who he was. Nearly 40 years later that memory still sticks with me.

RIP Franco!!! I'll never forget seeing him on a strongman and he was running with a refrigerator on his back and his entire leg hyper extended. I grew up with Franco & Arnold from 1972 when my dad brought home the first bodybuilding magazine I had ever seen, I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing, I really thought it was fake pictures because I never saw a real bodybuilder before. Well both Franco & Arnold inspired me from then till now, being a powerlifting champion and bodybuilding for now 47-years I can only say thank you Mr. Franco Columbu & Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger for being heros to all of us. No matter what you do the muscle is gone but if you work out you can reduce it so 2% per decade. At 65, and as a BB, you would be 6% less muscle which should mean you can't lift as much as you did 3 decades earlier. For a couch potato that would be 15% instead.

Wenn man die Geschichte kennt, wie die Beiden sich kennengelernt haben und was für eine Freundschaft daraus entstanden ist, dann muss man den Hut davor ziehen.
