hello ma'am. I was just wondering if the flour should be self-raising or if we use baking powder to make these lovely looking "roats"??

Hello here I'm using ordinary plain flour without baking powder. Better use plain flour to get a soft texture. The ingredients list in the description box below.

No baking powder or any other rising agent is needed in this recipe. This is the way it's made.

Hi why when frying it started to break and spread like small lill bits of pieces everywhere in the oil???

I'm sorry to hear what happened to your Roat. I never had this experience before, never break or spread in pieces in the oil. So I don't know what could have gone wrong.

Shouldnt be deep fried ! And its too flat Else it looks yummy

Yes should be deep fry. If you don't want it to be flat, roll it in small balls and fry it.

This is the way it is usually made. Deep or shallow frying does not make a difference
