What a touching video. I had no idea that Randy's mom and brother were still involved in teaching music. Even though Randy died way too young and before he had a chance to get married and have kids, it's nice to know that his family is keeping his legacy alive. Interesting that they kept that one room exactly the way he had left it.

That lady deserves the most utmost respect & honor for her raising such a professional genius. Plus her loss (no parent wishes to outlive their children) in a sense to the rock world. So, she should be thanked continually, knowing that his short life still yields much fruit.

My name is Danny Beal. Dolores (Mrs. Rhodes) was my piano teacher. I started with her when I was 6 years old. On the big grand in the big band room. As of this video,it is still there.I was inducted into the Musonia band when I was 14 around 1971. Kelle played drums. Randy was on guitar. Mrs Rhodes got us a few gigs at youth events. I have made my living on the piano for the last 43 years and continue to do so. I am very thankful for my piano lessons at Musonia. It is fun seeing Mrs. Rhodes and the old school in this video.

Some rock stars/musicians who've died before their time became bigger legends for just that reason. I know that statement sounds a little cold, and perhaps biased, everyone is someone's beloved son/daughter. But it certainly does not apply to Randy Rhoads, he was the real deal. His talent, and unique style at the time, inspired so many to this day. We were given such a tiny taste of his talent, and it never ever gets old. Some guys are just great players, some are great musicians. Rhoads was both, and he would have kept pushing his limits. We were all robbed of what he could have given us. No mother should ever have to bury their child, but my god, what a talent that guy was. His mother must have been so proud of her son. Then to have it all come literally crashing down. Yet anytime you see her interviewed, she remains so gracious towards fans, despite how painful it must be. Rest in peace, Randy.

Awesome hearing about Randy from his mom. You can really see where he got his humbleness from. This interview definitely could have been alot longer though. I would have loved to hear so much more about Randy. Especially considering the lack of footage there is to see of him. But I still appreciate this and I'm sure Frank was super excited to meet her. Though that response to Dee when she asks if he has any questions leaves alot to be desired. Really sad to hear she passed away recently as I initially came out here last night to watch whatever I could on the anniversary of Randy's death. RIP Delores and Randy Rhoads

You and I think very much alike at times Frank because I remember talking to you "after" you shot this video and I made the comment to you about the one thing I trip on with Randy's playing is when you listen to what he is doing on rhthem parts under Ozzys singing and you suddenly hear these amazing little neuances and riffs that pop out at you, even after having heard the song a hundred times. It shows the level of concentration you use when listening to music- which is why your a great player
