Frank seems to be the only guitarist that can play in such modes and keys over a slow twelve-bar blues and can keep me interested the entire time that I can't help but truly enjoy it with no boredom.

Saw Frank and his band in 1977 at concert in Castlberry Fl. I was only 16. It was my first of many rock concerts in the 70s. He was the lead band for Sammy Haggar and Nazareth. What a concert. Very loud! To say he left a lasting impression is an understatement. I remember almost every song they played and not much from the other bands. Simply put, his talent was by far the best that I can remember and I witnessed some amazing concerts back then( Nugent, Boston, AC/DC, Frampton etc.)

I saw FM&MH back in 1980 or 81 on a tour called The Rock and Roll Marathon. Axe, Angel, Humble Pie and Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. What a great night for a teenage guitar aspirant! $5.00 for the show, $5. 00 for the shirt and a lifetime of memory all in one package.

Soooooooooo good saw him in Toronto a few weeks back the guy is a freak. As a musician - and no I'm not a guitar player - and it was one of those jaw dropping once in a lifetime, this guy can't be this good moments. Shaking my head in amazement, truly frightening it was. On all levels - tone, feel, skill, control, dynamics, just everything flawless. Hats off Frank, and thanks.

"To be a poet at twenty is to be twenty; to be a poet at forty is to be a poet." Eugene Delacroix Sorry, I love Hendrix as much as anyone, and yes, he was an old soul who was wise beyond his years, but THIS my friend is what happens when you get some years on your playing. And this was recorded ten years ago. I saw Frank last fall and he was as potent as ever. To those who try to compare guitarists, it's like trying to compare flowers or children or philosophies. Just hush and enjoy...

Can anybody tell me what Frank is playing from 4.39 - 4.57. It sounds so jazzy and I dont seem to be able to replicate it when playing blues myself. Does he go into a particular scale or is it pure improvisation? It's been bugging me for 26 years ever since I heard him on an album called 'Guitar Wars'.

I don,t think Frank has the recognition in Great Britain that he richly deserves. He is a very fine Blues guitarist-perhaps he got a bit lost (along with Gary Moore)in the 80s.I didn,t know until today that he plays a GibsonSG as well-mine is called Marlene-he has good taste!
