Aldi is getting slowly more pricier week by week by the looks of it and eventually the higher prices will seem normal...

Australiia we get ripped off so much. So much cheaper in the US where coupons can bring the price down.

Keep calm, grow your own. I don't understand anyone that buys tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers or any other common fruit or vegetable. Australia has the best growing climate for backyard fruit and vegetables. The taste is far superior, no insecticides or pesticides with a very minimal outlay. Plants that seed go into next years garden. Grow your own.

I wish we had Aldi down here, but unfortunately we don’t. We cop the full price for everything down in Tassie. No competitors here!

@@frankmckay8766 Sorry but it is way better that Coles and Woolies and the prices R never wrong. I had to write to head office because our local Coles was flying under their radar and kept having the wrong prices under specials because they hadn't taken the price tag down from the week before. If the price is not correct when U scan it you are meant to get it for free. I wasn't pushing the issue but it was happening to many, many items. .....I finally the senior casjier as politely as possible and then she informed me it was MY FAULT that I didn't that I didn't get the Coles catalogue where it would show it was last weeks prices......THIS ISN'T HOW IT WORKS. The legal rule is is U get the first item for free and any other items and the reduced price if the special tag has not be taken down. She was UNBELIVABLY RUDE so I wrote to head office and SUPRISE, SUPRISE no wrong prices anymore. Obviously they are being monitored by head office now.

Aldi basic coffee (Alcafe) was $3.69. This week was around $4.49! That's close over 20% increase since the last time I bought it. Also that Tasty Cheese went up, expected that as Coles put theirs up, it's still less than the others though.

we'll have a look at Coles This Week, Hopefully

It’s about time the senate enquiry did something about these rip off prices that all supermarkets seem to be doing, no more hot air and angry posts, do something about it, ACC or whatever government body looks at this stuff, cause we’re tired of being taken advantage of 😡👍🇦🇺

Everything is expensive,wherever you go these days and it’s not going to get any cheaper either. It really pisses me off but we’ve got to eat do what are we supposed to do. I love lucky I guess because I don’t eat much so if I buy any meat it does me for a couple of nights or even more, depends on what I buy and what I cook I guess. All I know is it’s getting harder and harder to find anything at a reasonable price where I live. Its a small town and not many shops.

When you looked at that smoked half leg ham, it reminded me of when I worked in a Coles butcher shop. The head butcher ordered in what were called mutton hams. Just a few to see what they were like I guess. They were smoked legs of mutton. We never got them in again, so they couldn't have been popular with the customers. It appears to be a Scottish thing. "chiefly Scottish : a leg of mutton cured like a ham."

I feel like all baby boomers do this... Picking out the food is like a scientific examination... The younger generation are alot more easy going, get in get out
@davemustaki134Ай бұрын
I'm not a boomer I'm not exactly the youngest rooster either but I do the same as in examine things and look for best price etc... that's the problem with the young generation these days they just take things as they are and never seem to speak up or question things guess that's what nanny states do to people
