What a card this was, an interim heavyweight match between Mir and Big Nog. The grudge match between Rampage and the Axe Murderer and the Light Heavy Weight Championship between Griffin and Evans. Today's days interim fights and non title fights are main events sometimes.

nobody can take so many hard hits like Nogueira man ............. not even the great Fedor could ko-win against Nogueira ............. respect !!!
@stockmaster198215 жыл бұрын
Did you see the Noguiera vs Couture fight? What i saw in that fight is a ruthless, strong, and hungry Noguiera! He finally had that look back when he was dominating the Pride heavyweight division where he stayed unbeaten for like 3 years until Fedor came in and beat him! Trust me, Mir is no match against the old Noguiera, and im beginning to see the old Noguiera come back to life! It's gonna be pretty exciting! I won't be surprised if Nogueira reclaims the UFC heavyweight belt soon!

Mir is the man. Speaks the truth and delivers a mean over hand right from hell :] Not to mention he's the only guy in MMA that's broken 2 guys armsss
@teamShotFilms14 жыл бұрын
There are also judges that can make that distinction. Just because the ref doesn't see it doesn't mean it wont count as a submission. I fought MMA the whole time I was in the Army. It is about putting on a good match and still being able to fight. Anybody fighter that holds onto a submission after the second tap is either ignorant or out to injure somebody. I was in 37 fights and I won 10 of those by submission and I never broke any of my opponents bones.

Possibly, but i think its an early stoppage! We all know how much punishment Noguiera can take, and i felt it was a premature stoppage! I honestly felt like it was done on purpose to get the Mir vs Lesnar rematch! I really felt that match should've gone longer! I guarantee you if Mir and Nogueira has a rematch, Noguiera will beat him!

Nog was in the hospital for three weeks before that fight, and when he fought he had a staph infection.

well in this case randy couture was the champ but due to legal batles and bullshit he was out of the ufc for a while which opened the door for tim sylvia and nog to fight for the vacant belt cuz randy wasnt there, but randy got everything lined up and came back and fought brock so now brock has randys belt and mir has nogs interim belt and they are both going to fight each other to unify tthe two
@tristanv115 жыл бұрын
1-called NOG pathetic 2-disrespected lesnar's win over randy couture 3- Said fedor should retire go home and disappear 4- In his most recent interview in the WEC he said that Anderson silva was to small to fight him and that he would easily rip his shoulder right out of the socket.
@Busternutt6915 жыл бұрын
that might be tru itself, everybody was talking about a rematch between Lesnar/Mir and Dana White mightve wanted it. and yes i think Nog fully healed will beat Mir, i mean i love Mir but he is no match for a person like a fully healed Nog. And Nog's BJJ is far more supirior than Mir's.
@133lash14 жыл бұрын
What if he taps but the ref doesn't see it? He releases then the guy that gets caught can go back and go "Oh I didn't tap this should be a no contest or restart the fight" Like i said before its his job to keep the submission locked in until the ref sees and stops it. Soon as the ref sees the tap the fight is over that's why when you see something locked in and the fighter feels the tap he looks to the ref to make sure he sees it so he can let go.
@stockmaster198215 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Noguiera always seem to win hard earned fights! It's never easy for him! lol~ But if they get close to 3 rounds, Nog's endurance will probably give him the edge! It'll be hard earned fight but Nog will win!

everybody kicks nogueiras ass first, then gets caught so true but that what makes him great, he leads his opponants to where hes good at , his back.
@teamShotFilms14 жыл бұрын
A tap is a tap. If he didn't tap, that's his fault, but if a guy taps, you release. The goal is to make them SUBMIT, not break something.
@mizzike1614 жыл бұрын
@133lash I remeber a long time ago, ken shamrock fought royce graice and shamrock got choked and tapped, gracie let go, and the ref was like keep fighting, gracie said he tapped, and shamrock admitted, so the fight was over...It was one of the first UFC fights ever, probably like UFC 1 or 3 or something...Nowadays, I'm not sure, I'd guess they would look at the tape and see, so many camera's there, they'd pretty much have to catch it...
@Jaiden.jones9115 жыл бұрын
yh i have said that nog will get the title back for a long tym. i was jus sayin that him beatin mir might not be as easy as people think. mir has better stand up and they both have top level bjj. i would giv a the edge to nog but its unfair 4me 2say that as i like nog more then mir.
@fcmaster15 жыл бұрын
credits to mir, but I still think they stopped a little prematurely.... I mean let's face it, big Nog made a career on his back and by frustrating ground and pounders... they stopped the fight just as it was about to 'start'.... maybe they knew that....?
@133lash14 жыл бұрын
@teamShotFilms Its not his job to release on the first two taps dude, he gets a submission locked in its his job to keep it there untill the ref stops it....and for the record one of those breaks Tim Sylvia didn't tap so...yeah

by the way carwin pulled a rabbit out of the hat against gonzaga. carwin was on his heels and gonzaga got excited and got caught... but it's funny you can't even tell from there form, who has the better teachnique... gonzaga's hands have more technique, gonzaga's bounce is more coordinated, better kicks, better ground game... if you were to ask who is the more skill full fighter gonzaga or carwin, what do yout think people would say.. but your a novice you can't see these things.

hmm many people claim to run gyms and those who do usually keep there mouths shut online because they have better things to do. Ontop of that I guess comming off of a bike accident doesnt explain why he was beat so badly in those fights I mean hell if you get injured badly and took some time off and then came to fight you would just pull through and crush your opponents right lol and I guess beating a heath herring after getting subbed makes you earn a shot at the title right?
@shadowlionheart6915 жыл бұрын
if you do run a gym I would be delighted to come a try it out and maybe train for awhile because I am willing to go to any gym and learn new things but no offence belts mean nothing to me man because someone could have a black belt in BJJ and lose a grappling match to a wrestler or another grappler it all depends on the fighter. If I am ever in sacramento I will drop by your gym and see what you can teach me that is as long as you really own a gym until I drop by there I will never really know.

are you fukin serious frank mir won the 1 fight with lasner just because he was lucky .. but the second fight he got fucked up.. and he says he can beat Fedor come on every one know frank will get fuked .. I watch mma as a whole sport, you watch the ufc ... your tellin me brock deserved a title shot after beating an washed up herring who hasn't scraped top 10 since 2002, then beats a blown up, inactive, middle aged lhw who was sidelined by contratual issues for over a year (randy). and that warrants a title shot? werdum beat to top 10ers in vera and gonzaga and was still forced to fight a then unknown dos santos. don't kid yourself, potentail wise mir isn't top 15..
@shadowlionheart6915 жыл бұрын
carwin beat gonzaga, I dont doubt gonzaga has heavier hands but he seems wild and I just dont like him thus to me he sucks and since you were so quick to say you own an mma gym whats your name and whats your gym called and where is it located? @stirs11 ok re read this whole debate or w/e u wanna call it..ufc bought pride and alot of the popular and "best" pride fighters came to ufc. then anderson silva came to the ufc and beat all the fighters the ufc threw at him.. where does ur argument stand? u said one thing and just disproved wat u just said.. although pride had better competition back in the day ufc has 95% of the best fighters.. Silva wasnt even as good as he is now when he was in pride.
