// around the time frank dropped this, my grandpa was in the ICU. i could tell from just seeing him that he wasn't gonna make it. i was scrolling through music while in the waiting room one night, and to my surprise, frank released this. i played it on repeat while everything around me happened to be a continuous blur. // fast forward to when i went to his funeral service, i saw a sign in the lobby, and above it read the words "Moon River"... below it was the original beginning notes/keys for the song. needless to say, it brought tears to my eyes..and although the memories are painful when i listen to it; there will always be a sense of hope and sadness that lingers in my heart. frank has been the only artist in my lifetime to spark such a sense of nostalgia and hopefulness in me. he has genuinely helped me, way before the loss of my grandfather. and for him, im forever thankful. this song like many of his others, has helped me heal in a way that is indescribable.
