A vocal coach told me a secret that artists use is to sing quietly on the low notes then get louder on the higher notes . So by singing quietly they aren’t using or straining their voice early 😮

@@IyanLeol reverb, delay and autotune only help to stay in the right pitch and it's artificial, a person can't hit high notes only using those artificial tools, you need to know how to actually sing to be able to do certain vocal skills

Ignore what these other guys are saying. If you want to be like frank ocean, and surpass him, just stay dedicated and work on your craft. You can do it if you really believe. They’re just caught up in his stardom.. He’s just a guy. With a team. You can be just as awesome as him. (No disrespect to Frank’s dedication/art)

@@Aerochalklate To be honest, the singing in studio version of the song sounds different. He has a more minimalistic approach to singing. He did not play with rhythm and tone as much in the booth as he did here. I liked the more monotonous singing in the studio version with the minimalistic beat more, but to each their own. Still a very cool rearrangement of his own song :D

@@vampirgirl41 yeah i feel you. something i notice especially with very proficient musicians is the official studio version works as a framework for how they might perform live. So like you say how it's more monotonous and minimalist is what gives his so much freedom to express it differently between performances live which is surely quite fulfilling as an artist and also gives audiences a lot of variety for different tastes which is a bonus. Love the original but this version simply takes me.

It’s like you can feel his aura through the screen when he sings bro. You can just tell how he Chanels his emotions when he sings you can literally feel his passion for music and you can just tell by his face. I’ve always loved frank ocean for this bc a lot other singers who sing on stage don’t always seem too happy to be there, prob bc they didn’t write the song and can’t relate to it. I give props to artists who write their own songs because it’s almost like you can feel how they feel when they’re singing I think it’s so beautiful

Each time I hear this song I get super emotional. And I do enjoy this Version : sometimes you watch an artist singing and playing live and it sounds like the studio version. Thank you for re-visiting and re-creating this masterpiece for your audience 😘
