Danny DeVito joining as Frank in a regular role single handedly SAVED this show. Once he was a regular, ANYTHING could be done because Frank has money. A LOT OF MONEY. How much? We don't know but literally EVERYTHING is financed through him. All the pranks, jokes, legal issues, all of it paid for by him. So it makes sense that as Frank gets older, wants to "get weird with it" as he once stated, is loaded with more money than he can ever live with, shit gets so strange and weird as the seasons go on.

It's interesting when you think something is obvious and only waaaay later check out the internet fandom and discover that it's not the prevailing opinion... I mean, my _dad_ (who's very straight and of-his-time though he _is_ trying to learn and I'm secretly quite proud) started watching this show off and on about halfway through with me, and he's asked me 2-3 times if Dennis and Mac are together!
