thats why you need a father in the house 15% of the population commit 53% of the crimes in america because women marry the welfare state and kick the father out then all the male kids have no father to bring them up right.

I'm from Bay Shore, and I went to school at Saint John's in West Islip. Graduated in 88. Moved to South Carolina in 95 and became a Cop. Miss alot of things on Long Island. Spent summers on the bay. First job was at Captree bait station at 14. Oh, the memories. Watching these videos makes me homesick.
@SeemsLogical3 ай бұрын
I graduated from St John's too but grew up in Lindenhurst but worked in Bay Shore for a couple years. If you left in 95 you're gonna be surprised how much has changed since you've been away. Housing and business prices have gone up, a lot of the stores and people I knew from the 2000s and 2010s have gone and changed. And the lock down accelerated that process quite a bit. Many if the mom and pop restaurants and businesses are now chain restaurants and stores. And the Sunrise mall shutdown in 2021 which was the biggest surprise of all. But some stuff is still around. St John's is still going strong, Good Sam Hospital is expanding and while there aren't as many fishing boats Captree is still going too. Come by for a visit but I think you'll be bummed seeing a lot of the places you remember becoming something completely different.

This reminded me of my dad. He grew up on the Pacific ocean with uncles who were commercial abalone shops. He was a commercial abalone diver himself until he had a family then ended up working as a corrections officer and days off he went diving and us kids grew up at the beach while he dove for abalone until they were no longer legal to dive for. There is nothing better than fresh seafood and he could cook it, abalone that would melt in your mouth, clams, lobster, all kinds of fish. He still fished from his kayak into his late 70's and when abalone season opened up in northern california for awhile he taught my sons to get them and ocean fish and crabs. He is gone now and we all miss him. Glad you got to go home and enjoy time with your dad and out on the water! Love watching your channel!
