I had dinner with BOTH of these legends in Atlantic City in Caruso’s Italian Restaurant in the original Golden Nugget!! In 1982. It was a night I’ll NEVER FORGET!! I was with them for 2 /2 hours!! I had met Frank a year earlier in 1981 at a charity dinner at Carnegie Hall!! He talked to me for a few minutes , saw I was alone & had the head waiter put me near him at the table.. I had $200 seats but Frank put me in the high rent district.. I’ve told this story in many Rat Pack/Dean/Frank sites on Facebook.

@@jadezee6316 Dean was a fine singer and actor. He was incredibly multi-talented, even if he wasnt some genius in any one category. Although, he was a PHENOMENAL entertainer. This is not disputed. If someone like Dino Crocetti was average, then everyone would be a celebrity...
@MarkErickson-Painter6 ай бұрын
@tooter1able No doubt, you nailed it. True what Sinatra said. He knew Dean had it all. My ww2 B-17 pilot/40-year Lockheed/Skunk Works father loved Dean way back. Dino was part of my whole life, from childhood, my folks loved him and his music and humor and films. Saying anything against him is just bs. This jad cat here that lays his sour grapes dribble is just another case of having to say something that will get him/her off, and make a fuss. If you can not dig Dean, fine, wander off. No loss, surely no gain on our parts. To this day July 21, 2024, it is incredible, we can catch things like this above, Dean lights up a stage, a film or just hearing "Here he is, direct from the Bar...Dean Martin, makes me smile. If that doesn't light you up, bring a smile to your face, you're at the wrong joint.

There are good times today. It is tough getting in music publicly with the world having free access to every recording the instant it is put out there. Every city has great musicians today, playing for free in clubs, bars, subways, parks like my son Morgan at Washington Square Park in Brooklyn, New York every Monday till police run them off , guitar, keyboard, microphone and speaker. They play bars and eateries regularly for free . It's great when locals support their musicians all over the world like many do nowadays.
