Thanks for the memory. You brought a tear to my eye. It was my mother's (God rest her soul) favorite Sinatra song. We played this at her funeral.

The way you understand and respect makes you so lovely. When I was a very young man and a waiter , he was my customer, he was so charismatic.

He was joking about Pau Anka, the songwriter and famous singer. Frank was about 63 here.

Frank (“ol’ blue eyes”) Sinatra had one of the most iconic voices of the second half of the 20th century. The archetype of a crooner!

Frank was just kidding. He loved that song. The Arab writer he was talking about was Paul Anka who had many hit songs of his own. React to Paul's "Times Of Your Life" or "You're Having Our Baby" from the 70's or "Put Your Head On My Shoulder" in the 50's. Thanks Inna!😎

Correction friend, Paul Anka was inspired by the original French song and used it as a guide to make his own. The lyrics are very different than the French.

I really enjoyed your reaction to Frank, he's in my record collection! I have a song for you I think you would like by Bobby Goldsboro "HONEY", it came out in 1968 and was a big hit.

was an ok singer, as much as the beatles were, he had a nice high belt into lower head voice but that was it. I really never understood the hype about Sinatra. Think people got carried out more by his legendary personality than by his singing. I know theyre not from the same generation but Bobby Hatfield would put a cross on Sinatra singing wise, even back then Sam Cooke would give him a run for his money but he was black and a target for assassination which eventually happened. Sinatra was New York's and the Mafia's golden boy... says a lot
@TheEnigma643 ай бұрын
You could say the same about Elvis or Robert Plant...it's not in having the greatest Pavarottiesque singing voice...it's all in the timing and the phrasing!
