Wow, how exciting to be introduced for the first time to this artist NOW, when he has such a huge body of work to look at and appreciate, study and admire. Love the engineering aspect of those monumental sculptures, so fantastic to see the bones of the piece. Fabulous, what a happy accident! Thanks for sharing.

Frank has unlimited sides to his art. That's the difference. He hath made for himself a new world of looking. Seeing comes later with understanding. And Frank is always great at helping you understand where he is.

Success in art is arbitrary and capricious. One museum curator or wealthy dowager decides you are of consequence and you emerge from the pack. Let’s not pretend there’s anything more to this than that. Buying into this is simply a way for a person to convince themselves that they are more sensitive and evolved than those they don’t want to be identified with. You see what you want to see in pieces like this and discussing it ad nauseam with others of your ilk while dressed in all black is contrived nonsense. Why do most of these artists not do figurative art ? They can’t.

I think it's hilarious when people make these generalizations. How do you know most of "these" artists can't do figurative art? Did you conduct a survey? Have you done any research? Many artists, including those working in the abstract, begin with a foundation in figurative work that they must master before progressing to their personal vision. An idea for you to consider: artists make the sort of art that moves them. No need to attribute made-up motivations or handicaps to swaths of strangers you'll never encounter.

@@davidj8658 Save what? A deeper understanding than "ART I DONT LIKE BAD! ARTISTS I DONT LIKE FRAUDS!"? You're really piling on the clichés and stereotypes, friend, and sound very defensive. Just chill, my guy; live and let live. If it's not for you, it's not for you, and doesn't require ad hominem attacks. But, then, I guess it's the KZbin comments section....
