We already have universal background checks for guns. These weapons are not actually military grade weaponry, you really need to look in to it a bit more before painting such a stark attack against guns without knowing the actuality of their functions.

I think I found out why everyone, myself included likes Frank. He is Frank. Most people have a shtick. Pat likes video games, Matt Damon is the Actor, Jimmy Fallon is the talkshow guy, Jeff Bezos is the Amazon Guy, Bill Gates is the Rich Philanthropist. But Frank is Frank. He isn't about anything other than himself. He has passions that he talks about, but none of them define him. Its really Quite Interesting.

- "Military style weapons" cannot easily be converted to full auto - They do not magically have higher velocities or "impact" - Common Hunting/Defensive Rounds rounds (556/223, 308/762, 243, 30-30, 30-06, 9, 40, 45, etc) in Hollow Point or Soft Point are way more devestating

first you can bump fire a weapon with just your thumb you don't have to have a bumpstock to do so secondly a .223 rifle and ar 15 have no difference on the impact or velocity of the bullet they are just cosmetic differences and when ever you buy a gun from ffl dealer they fill out a 4473 thru ATF and do back ground check which includes gunshows waiting period if a woman has to buy a gun for protection because of some one who is abusive or wants to do harm to them they should have to wait 4 days to a week?

Pat, the empty Toys R Us stores will be used. I work for an architecture firm, and we do a lot of that stuff. What happens is someone will buy the building and then lease it out to multiple tenants. Just add in demising walls and re-work the front facade, and they turn it into a mini plaza.

You are so off base with your velocity of the bullet argument. a .223 bullet is just about the same size bullet at a .22 LR bullet. a .223 bullet is tiny compared to a 30-06 which is a common hunting rifle round. Also smaller than 308, 7.62x39 and 7.62x54r are all much larger caliber bullets than the demonized .223 round typically shot through an AR-15. It is hilarious how the people who know the least amount about guns are the loudest voices trying to take other law abiding citizens rights away. The truth is that people who are going to do these mass shootings will find a way to break the new laws whatever you put into place CRIMINALS BREAK LAWS. Just look at London right now, trying to ban knives lol you gotta be kidding me. The ignorance on the leftist side of this debate is just un-believable..

Great episodes guys. A lil different for the channel but I loved it. On the subject of the draft/enlisting in WW2 my Grandfather told me a story where a guy from his hometown couldnt get into the military (he had a medical issue) and he ended up killing himself because he couldnt serve. My other grandfather and his brothers all got their American Citizenship for signing up for the Army (they were from Canada). He was stationed in the Aleutian Islands. He never talked much about it though.

About gun law, practically all the mass shooting happen with semiautomatic hand guns, so while banning automatic guns, high caliber guns and other very dangerous weapons makes sense, it has nothing to do with mass shootings. To do something about those incidents more than talking about the type of gun used laws should limit the accessibilty of guns in general. Raise the minimum age to own a gun; add more controls on the person's mental stability when asking for a gun; have gun owners go through mental checks once every few years; add waiting periods; add controls in gun shows and have them adhere to laws that apply to every other place. Stuff like that.

The "voting for the ones that are not politicians, because they are good" is a trope that has to stop. Here in Italy we have Movimento 5 Stelle, that is exactly that, and guess what? They do the same things that the big parties do, in a more naive way. And now, after eight years they are in the game, they are becoming exactly as the old parties. We should vote for the people that have a political history, preferably outside the big parties. People that worked for their communities and territory, not for someone that comes out from nothing, saying that he is the new, he has no ties with nobody, and that will be the good guy against the old powers.
@busterdog321

oof that gun stuff was painful and ignorant. sadly the type or brand of gun doesnt make the round go faster, or cause more "impact once it enters your body" most low capacity hunting rifles have a much higher velocity and heavier round to cause more "impact once it enters the body." and living in California you should see how well those gun laws work to prevent all the murders that dont happen in that state. and then the classic gun show argument. most times like your flea markets and swapmeets its the same guys that it always is, local collectors who go there to try and make some money off of their wares. you fill out a ATF Form 4473 and they call the NICS office for your on the spot background check. its all on the up and up because no licenced firearm dealer is going to risk his FFL (federal firearm licence) to sell someone a gun because they need it they are just a felon that needs protection.

Teaching doesn't seem THAT rewarding. Nowadays it's very little respect and even less pay (one teacher showed her paystub was $300/wk) . It's a lot of stress and you have to be around children 8hrs/day, many of whom are sick, then go back to your own children. You have the summer off sure...but you're not getting paid during the summer. You have to save up during Fall-Winter & have a "stay-cation" . My mom's been through some hard times being a teacher.

I love both Frank and Pat but I hate this bullshit argument about how society needs entrepreneurship and freedom of enterprise and ideas to continue to technologically develop and succeed. That argument completely discounts the first 7000 years of civilization in which there was no such thing as doing what the individual wanted, there was no entrepreneurship and no freedom of ideas or enterprise, yet people continued to strive for new ideas and new technologies. Those ideals are only about three centuries old, by your own logic there would be no way to achieve even what was achieved by 1500s or 1600s if those things are necessary to drive achievement. I just get so tired of hearing it, and Frank and Pat, you two should know better.

Very good discussion until it got onto the guns..... The velocity you speak of doesn't exist…. A bolt action hunting rifle, or shotgun causes much more internal damage than a "semi-automatic rifle", because the shotgun shoots a heavier load (on average 8x more lead per shot than an AR-15) and a basic bolt action hunting rifle such as a .308 or .30-06 have higher velocities and shoot heavier bullets than either an AK47 or AR15.. I have multiple semi-automatic Ak47&AR-15 rifles... So how would a universal background check stop anyone from committing a crime when the guns already exist? Who gets to say who gets or doesn't get a rifle? This also creates an issue because some people with mental health issues will be afraid to seek the help they need.... I think we should start doing IQ tests before allowing people to vote on subjects that they know nothing about. If you want to learn more ask away... If I can't answer a question, I'm sure I can lead you to someone that can.

It's about the amount of bullets fired per second that matters. Good God just think about your out of touch biased statement. To keep it simple for you. Would you rather have a crazy killer running around with a hammer in a school looking to do as much damage as possible, or someone with a bolt action hunting rifle? Now take the next step and apply that same analogy the same person with an AR-15. Common sense is dead with half of our population here unfortunately.

The only thing stopping this is statehood. There should already have been a hard ultimatum. PREXIT is probably not a great idea and unlikely, but remaining only as a territory is likely infinitely worse as the decades draw on. I realise that this is basically up to congress, but there is so much more PR could have done to apply pressure.

I think there was a big difference in WW2 and Vietnam. Most men wanted to go to WW2. Then in the Vietnam War the poor were forced into it. I think they guys who served in Vietnam get a bad rap. The hippies called them baby killers -The old guys and soldiers called them dopers and failures. I always believed they didnt fight for what ever cause they were told they were - they fought for each other and each other's survival. If you ever want to see some of the bravest pilots in any war watch anything about the Wild Weasels. They would purposely get targeted by the SAM sites (that were top of the mine straight from Russia)and as soon as they came online and painted them they would blow them up then hopefully evade the supersonic missle the size of a telephone pole coming straight for them. Afterwards the bombing raid/fighter escort could proceed. Need to say they had a high attrition rate.

I think you are focusing on the wrong side of the quote "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need." Not that there is importance in raking leaves, but it pales in comparison to being a doctor. What if you lived in a small community, and all the people living there were either friends or relatives, would you just give up being a doctor and go rake leaves because you aren't being compensated enough financially? What about the feeling of service to your community? Human nature inherently brings people to help others, especially when they are familiar people, not to harm them. If you harm the people close to you then you are a mentally disturbed, not following nature. Damn capitalism really messes with people's thinking. And Pat, read some Marx before you just start spouting off bullshit.
