I have a cast on my right hand, after having my ring and pinkie covered in a half cast for a month until I got a proper cast with it just covering my affected fingers, middle and index, I’ve beginning to have big spots of dead skin begin to peel off, it actually feels decent, it doesn’t leave it feeling/looking raw or any thing it’s just the 2 layers of dead skin that’s been stuck there. Same goes for any other cast you get. You end up relizing how good it must feel as a snake to shed.

I had my left foot bandaged for a month and when it was off I spent days peeling off dead skin and applying aloe cream to moisturize it.

It's great how knowledge like this is so easy to share these days. You could go your whole life never seeing a snake shedding, but now we can see videos from people who have seen it! The rat hasn't fully decomposed, so when jostled around they throw it up. Do a half decomposed rat was sitting my snakes terrarium stinking up a storm, I swear you can smell that thing from 10 miles away, and I've got to sleep In that room so we have to use a shit ton of candles.

I had a bad experience with a corn snake, came from a bad home (i didn't know at the time) and she wasn't friendly at all, i couldn't even touch her to clean her enclosure. I did my best to take care of her but when she got sick I realized that this was above my skills and gave it away to a family friend snake keeper (snake owner?). Seeing frank so chill and cool makes me want to take courses on reptile and snake keeping and maybe try again, still i don't want to make the same mistakes and make a pet suffer because of my incompetence

I have a leopard gecko and she sheds like once a month or something, it's fairly often. It usually happens over the course of a few hours and she basically turns white before it happens. There's never any trace left though as leopard geckos eat their shedded skin, sometimes right off their bodies lol.
