Young Coleman just turning pro pre-special supplementation would have been a force if Classic Physique Div was around. Not sure what he weighted in 93 may have been too much for his height for that Div. ? We all know Zane would have run game for years in Classic Div. ie would have been Mr. O Classic champ for a decade. Staying healthy of course.

Frank Zane did the most with a thin frame and maximized quality muscle over each inch of his body. His shoulders were not as wide as Ronnie “nothing but a peanut” Coleman. But Frank Zane never got a bloated waist. Frank Zane was a good as you can get without PED abuse.

But Ronnie also had aesthetics and with the extra mass he surpasses Frank, I'm talking 98 or 99. But aside from that tho such different frames and physiques, Love them both. I got to hang out with Frank a couple times, once in person and once on the phone, knowledgeable guy, used to be a teacher

I'd rather look like Frank Zane than big Ronnie any day and back in the day i went from a natural 11st to a bloated 20st monster and boy am i regretting now . I'm now a type 2 diabetic at 11st and have so many aches and pains at only age 37. All my gains have gone. All I'm saying is if you choose to go down the size route then please be careful and use your head and really ask yourself is it all worth it for something thats only temporary.

The genetics weren't poorer back in the day, they just didn't maximise their genetic potential through diet, training and drugs to the extreme levels the guys of today do. Sergio Olivia would have absolutely been on Colemans level (if not better) if he had the modern perks, Frank Zane purposely didn't get bigger because he was worried it would ruin his lines, Frank never truly maximised his genetic potential, to say the genetics of the guys of yesteryear were poorer is ignorant, c'mon Max! 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@madmax-nz2xh he was small by today's standards, but compared to what chemicals the guys are doing today, Frank Zane might aswell have been natty. They had little to no scientific knowledge of the drugs and nutrition back then, and again! Frank Zane was a huge advocate for supplements like desicated liver, co enzymes and brewers yeast, the guy was a health nut, steroids were used for contest prep to hold onto the muscle while stripping the fat, they weren't banging boat loads of Tren, GH, insulin and whatever else during the off season to the point of struggling to breathe while speaking. If Frank Zane was around today with that frame and the modern mindset he could be massive, his genetics weren't the reason for him not being a freak, it was the spirit of bodybuilding back then which was more based on symmetry, aesthetics and a look that guys reading the magazines viewed as healthy and achievable. Frank Zane was featured on the front of magazines more than any other bodybuilder for that reason, genetics aren't the reason why the average man looks at the cover of a magazine today and think the physiques look disgusting, it's the drugs! Frank Zane was a reason for the average guy wanting to lift weights and get healthy, when the average guy looks at Nick Walker he screams steroids and says things like "he'll be dead in a few years." for Max to say the genetics were poorer back then is ignorant imo 🤷🏼‍♂️

Why don’t you compare Ronnie in I believe in 1994 ? When he turned pro at a 100% natural athlete . Ronnie weighed 194 lbs .I believe Frank Zane weighed about 185lbs ? Frank still looks better, is more aesthetic, and with better detail. There are back shots of Zane that look like aqueducts with striated channels running through the Delts, Traps, and Spine ("Xmas Tree"). I'm not knocking Ronnie for being the Cartoonish mass monster he became. There's a fan base for that. If anyone could own a physique that put them into Greek God status when they stripped down at a beach or pool, whose would you want?
