A couple of fun facts: 1.Jeff Beck Lowell George and Ry Cooder were the guitar players on the GTO's album 2. Frank's movie 200 motels was the first movie shot on VHS tape, it was shot on VHS tape and transferred to 35 mm film so it could be showed in theaters. Frank said that the tape was three or four inches wide and the recorder was the size of a refrigerator.

Not VHS, as VHS stands for Video Home System. It was, however, videotape. Sadly, because the project was running over budget, the videotapes, after being transferred to 35MM film, were erased and sold as used tape to recoup some of the expenses. There was so much more footage shot but lost forever.

@@Royale_with_Cheeze I may have misspoke, it's actually called magnetic tape, the same magnetic tape that's been used for cassettes 8-tracks and reel to reels forever. It's called video tape when it's used to record sound and images. VHS was the format that won out over Beta

You should explore the old albums more! Uncle Meat is a treasure. Freak Out broke all borders. Chunga's revenge and The Grand wazoo could be explored on and on. And 200 Motels is a very odd piece, both the movie and the album. If you didn't recognize all music in the documentary you have a lot of entertaining in front of you. Which don't mean you neccessary should put it on KZbin.
