Travis don't strain too hard brother I'll break it down, the painters excluding (Mr. Rodgers) are genius in their own right and are used here as an analogous figures to illustrate that even great works when overlapped can create well "a mess" take a random work by any of the fore mentioned painters excluding (Mr. Rodgers) and superimpose them on to the same screen layered one atop the other and whatcha got?
