Hey Frankie and Rondo, I grew up in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and I have never heard of any "undiscovered" places in modern day PNG. I'm from the coast but everyone from the jungles have pretty much been exposed to modernity. You'll see people in jungle villages walking around with smartphones connected to bluetooth speakers made in China. You want to know what is REALLY in the deep jungles of PNG? ..For more than half a century now, Illegal multinational logging companies have been felling millions of acres of centuries old trees from pristine rainforests, Western mining companies deep in the jungles blasting huge open pits and dumping chemical waste like oil and cyanide into virgin river systems which end up killing natural wildlife and killing local people (especially children who play in the rivers) who live off those rivers, miles of barbed wire fenced acreages with massive satellite dishes that even locals are not allowed to look at let alone be anywhere near... This "cannibals in the jungle" is a narrative pushed by people whose 'special interests' mean they don't want anyone looking to closely into what Western corporations are really doing in those jungles. Believe me, I know, I have family who work in some of those 'legal' mines and even they're not allowed into some of those hi tech compounds with rows of satellite dishes. It's been said that those compounds are unofficial US army bases (just like how the CIA says they don't have a base in the middle of Australia). Some educated locals in PNG say these compounds may be part of the wall of surveillance surrounding the "Chinese threat" in the region or so they say....a result of post war international policy when the jungles of PNG became a strategic point between Asia and the Pacific in the war for control of the area during WW2. There's currently genocide in West Papua carried out by the Indonesian Military who's military might has been heavily subsidized for decades by the US government. Indigenous people are being murdered by the thousands in West Papua. I tell you if the so called "cannibal" indigenous people gain rightful control of their own land on the Indonesian side, they will bring to light many things that special interests are trying to keep hidden in those jungles. Many people try to deny this reality but sad to say, Imperialism is still happening behind the scenes. I'm a subscriber so I thought I'd give you an actual local's point of view. Don't buy into the narrative.

Because Karl is so inarticulate and unsure about specifics it's easy to dismiss everything he says as bollocks but sometimes there's a kernel of truth to his bizarre ramblings. The dolphin story, I think, is based on dolphins that had been trained by the US military to find or deploy sea mines but who escaped. The monkey news is based on Oliver the chimpanzee who had a habit of walking upright and was sold on by his first owner because once he became sexually mature pestered his wife. Years later he tracked him down and found him living in a sanctuary and his story is the subject of a documentary which I'm sure is available on line. He was exhibited all over and was 'sold' as a human chimp hybrid although DNA tests showed he was not. Interesting but sad story all the same.

"Though Ricky and Steve had apparently never heard of Ollie, he is a fairly well-known chimp, having been the subject of numerous documentaries. He is said to display human traits, such as walking on two feet and having a skull that is closer in shape to that of a human. His trainer, Janet Berger, claimed that Ollie became attracted to her when he reached sexual maturity and tried to mount her on multiple occasions. His behavior lead some in the scientific community to wonder whether he was some sort of human-chimpanzee hybrid, and thus he came to be known as a "Humanzee". However, DNA tests would eventually prove that Ollie was in fact just a regular chimpanzee."
