Your joy with the Frankford press is a small return for all the joy you have provided us over the years.

Well I learned one thing, Benny and I have something in common in our "Old Age"! We both lack patience! I thoroughly support Benny! Great presentation! Best to ya',,,,!

I shouldn't be watching this, because I don't need another press, but this press is very nice indeed. I'm actually having to restrain myself from buying one, because I do experience a great deal of pleasure in using fine equipment.

Think I'd have to modify the lever to be like a slot machine, play the one arm bandit but win more ammo every pull 💪

The more you show this it is one well designed press. Interesting comment about the Dawn. Will clean my hopper and see if it also feeds more consistant. I try and keep the hopper filled to the same level. The extra decaping could have a nylon brush to clean the flash hole.
@GunBlue490 Жыл бұрын
Actually, I'm probably going to remove the powder damper. Many years ago, I tested the uniformity of charges as the hopper volume changed, using different powders, and I measured no difference. Shotshell reloading machines have no dampers, and they load very sensitive charges without error regardless of hopper volume. It's a non issue. I prefer to see to the bottom without visual obstruction. Dirty flash holes are no less accurate. Boxer primers are self contained and provide the same flash, no matter how soiled the primer pocket is.

@@GunBlue490I never did any test it just made me think a full hopper compressed the powder more then a near empty. 😢 I'm wrong then.

I'm shopping around for my first press...trying to go cheap and easy. I just want to get going to start with...then maybe graduate to a fancy dancy press like yours.

I had problems with a turret press and 22 Hornet. It was so fast , that powder runs of the Cases before seating the bullets.

I’ve seen a wide range of thoughts on this unit from people on line. It will be interesting to see how things go for you once you have it operating.
@GunBlue490 Жыл бұрын
Most of the "thoughts" I've read are written by folks who are invested in another machine, typically blue ones associated with catalogs featuring scantily clad young women. These products are reloading machines, not pets, people, politics, or gods. They should be assessed according to their ability to reload ammunition, and their dollar value, nothing more. I'm not aware of any machine that offers anywhere near the number of features, and so well designed, for anything even close to this price.
@JeffinTD Жыл бұрын
I agree, and I’m not a fanboy of any particular brand, and hoping to see a glowing review from you. Also, the larger progressives are complex machines, and inexperienced reloaded are likely to find them frustrating. Even for someone experienced and mechanically minded, it may take a bit to learn the peculiarities and rhythm of a new machine. Anyway, wishing you the best, and looking forward to an unbiased opinion.

@GunBlue490 A friend of mine has 3 of the blue machines churning out 5.56 and 9mm for dad and his matches they participate in. They like them mainly for flawlessly pumping out rounds without the need for constant maintenance and fiddling with. This is something else altogether for me. Popcorn in hand for more episodes. 😋

Yeah I really look forward to the opinion of someone I know is experienced, mechanically minded, and trustworthy (Gunblue). One of the other people doing videos sent his unit back for refund. I don’t think he was team blue, but I don’t know his skill level. I really want this unit to succeed and hope Gunblue has it running perfect.

Grampa would be amazed at the things available to the modern day shooting enthusiast . I'm happy with my antique rock crusher. Can precision be achieved ? I've always heard these are for mass production not precision. I wish I could enjoy a stogie with you . I enjoy your company,as do all your viewers. Thanks for letting me hang out in your basement with you and Benny.
