@@User-tt9ow7c9e Annulments happen when after people are married they find out that there were grounds for them to not be married in the first place, so instead of divorce it's invalidated or cancelled i.e your marriage didn't exist in the first place, like if you find out someone was actually a minor and didn't consent, or you find out the ppl are related or they were covering something up, or there was deception to trick one of the people etc.

I know You wanted to make it about double standards, but there is no basis to support a scenario where it would be treated/perceived differently if Axl were a girl. In this same show, the parents have a similar reaction when Sue gets engaged because she didnt know how to Say no. And in modern family, by the time Hailey got pregnant, the character development of the Dunphies would not allow for a scene like this, and even prior to said development, only Claire would be the most likely character to act like Frankie and Mike, but still the scene probably wouldnt happen because the family dynamics and the shows comedy are way too different to what we see in the middle.

This show was amazing, but kind of like when the kids went to college in Modern Family, the moment Sue cut her hair and went off to college, it started to noticeably decline in writing quality.
