It'd be really nice to hear these guys talk about how the differences of a old school board felt versus a new school board and how controlling it and riding it felt... for example, was kick flipping and doing ollies and grinds easier, harder, or the same!!!!

OG proper hand plants!!!! Nice to see someone doing it the way they used to do it back in the day from when I watch the old school videos!!!!! So many people don't get the full extension out of it like the old school skaters did as a flex pause move not as a transition so much because the inverted plant is a moving itself and can be used obviously for a transition but so many people don't have the technique or strength to do the pause the right way and they just use it as a transition... Greaaaaaaaaaaat hand plant technique!!!! Also, I don't see many people putting their own flare once they get inverted like the old school skaters did... It's so cool watching the old school skater videos when they stretched out the invertedness if the move by making their legs extend in a particular direction with the board....

It just goes to show you can have fun on whatever kind of skateboard you're riding and it's all about the skill of the rider and not about the shape of the board but obviously the better the design the easier it is for a good skater to shine....

Can someone please let me know what trucks & wheels are on this setup? I went with 215 Indy Stage 11s & 64mm G-Bones, but the wheels definitely stick out too far in the rear. I had a friend with the OG Hill deck in red (can we PLEASE get a re-issue in red?) back in the early 90s & I loved that thing so much. Picked up a black re-issue in '07 & recently this silver '21. Was really going for exactly this setup in the video. Haven't skate since 2000. I'm 39 now & Braille has really made me want to get back into it. Picked up a silver PP Ripper complete in silver for my 7 year old step-son's Xmas. I did get myself a PP Skull & Sword Flight deck, PP OG stickers tape, Gullwing Shadow 9" trucks & black Bones 52mm 100's w/ Reds Race bearings for more serious skating. But I still want a legit OG setup. Any help?
@tstubs36682 жыл бұрын
Go with 169's and 64mm's are huge unless you only plan to cruise. 56 mm is as big as I'd go, that's just personal preference.
@MichelDespres2 жыл бұрын
Hi there, was wondering the same thing. Did you try the Independent 169 with that deck and did it fit good ?
@realeveryday5042 жыл бұрын
@@MichelDespres I was able to return them & went with 169s. It certainly made a huge difference. I may end up putting some OG 52mm wheels on if I can find some pristine for less than the whole build.
@MichelDespres2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info, I wasn't sure what to put on my 10" deck. About the wheels I personally think these decks are good for bowls, carving since they're stable. So I prefer bigger wheels like 58mm 60mm giving me more speed. 52mm is small and better for street technical skateboarding.
@idmhead01602 жыл бұрын
@@MichelDespres If you like 60mm wheels, checkout the new Rat Bones Dragons. Great for cruiser boards. Pretty much perfect IMHO. They are narrower than the original Rat Bones, but, the new formula slides a lot better. Note, they add about 3/8" to the width of your trucks because they are offset wheels that extend beyond the end of your axle. So, you may need narrower trucks if you use them.

You guys should start making more vlog like content and trick tips. You should also make more in-depth reviews about your new products. (like a product reviewer) The videos feel too corporate and less entertaining. It just needs that extra little bit of personality to bring your companies channel to life. Also, I like the boards. They look nice! The skating is gnarly too!

👍👍 Thanks Logan. Would you happen to follow the team's KZbin channels? Most of them have their own accounts and regularly post new videos.
