@Alan formula1 Sounds more like a general human being thing rather than a skateboarder type of person. You'll find teenagers are way more prone to behave like that and not the younger and/or older folks, but once again that has to do with age and maturity not really a skateboarding thing IMO.

Guys like him and Winkowski simply are bringing back old styles that have existed for decades but were deemed not cool anymore. So now that those styles haven’t been seen for years, it seems new and different. In some cases, guys like Andy Anderson and Eric Winkowski have never been seen before period for younger generations of skaters. A lot of people are tired of the super tech skating and are getting more and more into bowl and transition skating and guys skating with style and feeling over unattainable tech skating. Andy has managed to mix so many styles and tech skating in such a way that kids can relate to it. And Winkowski hitting inverts and long lipslides on handrails with an 80s shaped board and 80s street style is refreshing for people to see instead of another kickflip front crook flip out.

Yeah I agree I've been following this kid on KZbin for a little while I think he's probably the best skateboarder in the world right now. You should watch it in nkg I think it is... videos with him... It's just him raw at the park or spot figuring it out and it's amazing. People are obsessed with Nyjah but I think Andy may be the very best all around skateboarder in the world. I can't think of very many other skaters that could go out skating with pros from a discipline outside their own narrow realm of mastery and not feel totally useless. ... First exposure to Andy, his skate style, personality, and vibes really intrigued me. I began to watch more videos related to him. I found in one video who his mentors are and even more about his love of freestyle. I then stumbled onto this video and it instantly had me hooked, thinking about skateboarding on a whole different level. I have infinite amounts of respect for you and what you can do for skate culture. PS Normally I wouldn't comment but I felt like I can leave here with a better understanding of life and use what I interpreted from this video and apply it to my life! Andy is everything I love about skateboarding - creativity, determination, experimenting, having fun, trying anything, without the things I don’t like about skateboarding - being irresponsible, being a jerk to people, having a crappy attitude, swearing all the time. It’s really refreshing to see someone like Andy. Loved seeing him joking with the security guard. Wearing a helmet is just smart (wish it wasn’t so frowned upon in the sport.) Andy makes me excited for the future of skateboarding.

I get Good Vibrations when I see the Powell Peralta Logo, because getting a new Mini or XL deck in the 80s made me a very happy boy. Anderson could hold spot #1 in a Modern Day Bones Brigade. Thank You George, Stacy & Team for bringing your brand back to the forefront. I’ll be purchasing an Anderson deck as soon as they’re Back in Stock, that’ll be right before I go to the hospital at 41 or 42 years old with at least One Injury. Finally. Andy deserves huge respect for his contribution to modern skateboarding. I've been watching NKA vids for so long and he's so amazing, and so underrated. Imagine if he entered X-Games or Dew Tour.. He's one of the most consistent and most technical skaters ever. It would probably be similar to when Q-Bert entered the DMC scratch off.
