This is a very sweet song. No smut or innuendo, just saying how he has loved her, and she doesn't even know he exists. I had that same experience with one of the girls on my block. She was a couple of years older than I was. I finally got the nerve to say hello. Nothing romantic ever became of it, but she turned out to be a wonderful life long friend.

We were really close and constantly teased by the other kids. We didn't care. Then...she moved away....broke my heart. Her last day and I was a total jerk.
