@@kevingoins9858 Frankie did sport a "porn 'stache" on the "Genuine Imitation Life Gazette" album. Otherwise, he either had the moustache and goatee like Bobby Gaudio or even a full beard ("Second Vault of Gold Hits"). After this, Frankie pretty much remained clean-shaven (the "Nicky Newark" look, despite having longer hair) until COVID hit, in which he had that scraggly "three-day" look.

Frankie Valli was the inspiration for Barry Gibb to later sing in falsetto. Many versions of this song have been made, but perhaps the most successful was one by Manhattam Transfer from 1995. I don't know what it is about this song that, whoever sings it, everyone always likes. I too, and very very muuuch.

I’ve seen many videos of live performances of this particular song, and this is probably the best one. I watched another one from 1992 and he still sounded great! Now, it’s sad to he him attempting to sing. All the tracks are pre recorded from years ago and he just barely lip syncs now. It’s so had to see him with so much energy dwindle to where he is now. I know he’s 90, but, I believe he’s being forced to perform at this point. He basically just stands and stares into space and attempts to move his lips. Very hard to see. I hope he decides to retire soon and enjoy an easy life. He needs to put his health first before entertaining his fans!

Among other great things about to enjoy in this song - a powerful, up front/in-your-face bass line by Nick Massi - did he and McCartney have a low key busy bass competition going? Probably not, but it's a way of thinking about how great Nick's bassline was here. Too bad Nick left the group soon after this one made its big splash (not to say Joe Long wasn't fantastic on bass - he was!)

The guitar player is Bob Grim, who Bob Gaudio had a falling out with shortly after this tour in the UK.
