Biden is a good president. History may judge him as one of the best/ great president too because of his accomplishments and his practicality and maturity in dealing with issues.

He wasn't wrong when he brought up Eisenhower on Infrastructure. I'd say we need to keep going once this part ends. I think it's in the fall of 26', I think. So we will have to part 2 in 2028. Before it was signed we were 4.6T in the hole. So, it will take til before 2050.

I think Biden has done a phenomenal job considering what he was handed. I have no problem with his age. Lets go deeper on the Commander issue. Maybe the Secret Service people Commander bit need to be checked out for loyalty to the president. Believe the dog.

Thank you! I just posted a comment in defense of Commander. What does Commander know that we don't know? A good dog, much less a loyal rescue Shepard, would help anyone sleep well at night.

Thank you, Al Franken, for having Franklin Foer on to talk about his book on Biden! Congratulations on your courage to speak up for President Biden. I am so very disgusted with main stream media on focusing so much on Trump while a perfectly fine president is hardly mentioned. So very disgusting!!!

🗽💙🌊💙🌊🗽. Start making those voting plans now. Organize the voter registration drives, update government ID just in case, get some extra bottles of water, get some carpools going to get the neighbors to the ballot locations, review all candidates up and down the ballot for their positions on reproductive healthcare, green energy and gun safety, practice your meditation and breathing skills. It's going to be quite a journey, but we must get there! Stay awesome, stay voting. 😎🗽💙🌊💙🌊🗽😎

GOP playbook has been brilliant: funnel huge amounts of money to the wealthy (trend GOP) and cut programs for the middle class (trend Dem). It keeps inflation low and stock prices high, so people feel "happy" even though the majority are merely treading water from paycheck to paycheck. Thank Al and Franklin.

I can't help but wonder if Commander has something to do with the "hang mike pence" crowd. Wouldn't there be a thought in the back of any dog owner's mind, "Yeah, but if I can trust anyone, I know I can trust my dog. If things ever go completely crazy again, the very last obstacle the crazed shaman would have to get past would be my rescue dog Commander, a dog who is smart enough to bite anyone he feels he has to bite." Just saying... 🗽🐾🐶🐾🗽

What if we had Walter Cronkite again, and the three networks so that most of the USA population heard the same information basically at the same time? Same concept with FDRs radio addresses. If only we could figure out how to do a fireside chat that most of the population would listen to, or those movie theater newsreels when most of the neighborhood or the town were all sitting in the neighborhood movie palace together.

@girlfromthebronxbywayofelb7288 what can be done about fox?
@girlfromthebronxbywayofelb72889 ай бұрын
I think Fox is less of a threat after they lost the defamation case. At the end of the day, they want to make money, so they don't seem to want to risk another lawsuit. The greater risk is probably the new clones, I guess NewsMax? One america something? (OAN) I don't click on those things because I don't want to mess up my feed, but there are approximately three of these "news platforms" out there now. If we could pull those weeds up quickly.... What are the chances that one of those crazy "reporters" hasn't already said something defamatory or fraudulent? There has to be something in FCC regulations that is not being enforced. I believe the standard is that "news" must be in the public interest in order to be considered news. That was meant to protect the public airways from being misused. Somehow cable news slipped through a loophole, and the internet then stretched the gap completely. I guess the internet is not considered broadcasting on the public airwaves? Congress is looking at ways to limit the Internet to make it more responsible, but I think there is something that the FCC can do as well. All news should correspond to journalistic principles. That doesn't feel impossible. What would Edward R Murrow do?

@JustChristyhere9 ай бұрын
The problem is media saying she’s is a problem. Any doubt you have about her abilities to lead watch the Senate hearings with her questioning Bill Barr, or Justice Kavanaugh, she held their feet to the fire.
@girlfromthebronxbywayofelb72889 ай бұрын
The problem is too many people are still uncomfortable with the idea of a strong woman of color and an accomplished prosecutor. Be honest. If we can get past that, we'll be okay. She is clearly qualified for government service, and as a prosecutor I have mostly heard her be accused of being too tough.
@JohnGolden9 ай бұрын
If it's so crucial to defeat Trump, why is the best the Democrats can offer a good guy who has so many weaknesses and avenues for the Republicans to defeat him? The only candidate he has a chance against is Trump, and there is no reason to think any of the other Republicans would be different in character. It's like we learned NOTHING from 2016. Running a candidate the party was beholden to, who had huge electoral weaknesses. If it is actually necessary to defeat Trump, act like it.
