This scene hits so different now. And it also shows deep down inside Franklin knew everything was gonna happen. “The white man ain’t your problem, not yet” “They don’t see it that way and they never will. And you don’t see it theirs. That’s why this whole things about to fall apart.” “Even if you do understand, it doesn’t make a difference.” All those lines hit like a ton of bricks now

Franklin was talking to his *higher self.* This whole conversation hit hard, but that last line in particular -- "Even if you do understand, it doesn't make a difference" -- was chilling, because Franklin didn't know that at the very moment Franklin was hallucinating this conversation, Teddy was at Franklin's house taking pictures of all of Franklin's financial information to give to the asset recovery guy. When Teddy reappeared in season 5, he killed Grady, and then told Franklin to sell Grady's house and then give him (Teddy) the money. It was CIA standard operating procedures for mules who had strayed out of boundaries or outlived their usefulness -- disposal and then recovery of their assets by the CIA. Franklin just wasn't paying attention.

“Your fear made the worst thing dad did come true for you ”. the foreshadowing in this show is crazy. Not only can this statement be interpreted as Franklin exhibiting his dads flaws like being selfish and truly tunnel visioned. This phrase can also be alluding to his untimely demise at the end of the show. “ your fear” maybe franklins subconscious was referring to franklins reluctance towards alcohol throughout the show, His disagreement to drugs diving into his relationship with sobriety influenced by the image of his father. Seeing him addicted at the beginning of the show and vowing to never become like that but unfortunately he does. Why? because of greed, selfishness and the tunnel visioned mindset he saw in his father but was to blind to see in himself which ultimately birthed his downfall and full circled himself to become the thing he feared the most… his father. Maybe him becoming a addict was his karma, karma for birthing addicts to begin with.

i may be wrong but, when young franklin says "that's why this whole thing is about to fall apart" at 2:11 , I can almost see tears in his eyes, which just makes the scene even heavier emotionally, even franks deep subcounsoius is being ripped apart about what he knows is coming

@@maverickmicna. He kinda did which is why after this he apologized to louie n all that, but as this version of Franklin says “ even if u do understand, it doesn’t make a difference ” bc Franklins decisions as well as the consequences caught up to him by then. Teddy stole his money Louie went behind bud back And bc of that Franklin fell deeper into that while we thought he was gonna get himself out of with this scene here
