That's one of my favourite songs of them too Frank, I'm happy that you listened to the original version first, because it was funny to see you wondering how to do this song with an acoustic guitar, well, you don't need to wonder anymore, just to go for the MTV acoustic version of it (it's amazing!)! That's how you do it with an acoustic guitar! The lyrics are deep, that's a hard one to translate literally. Finally, when I see people reacting to brazilian music, one of the things that amazes me is to think how can our music inspire foreigner persons, especially musicians like yourself.

@@andregotha9257 Awesome! I'm glad people translated and - from what I've seen - looks ..OK.. With all due respect, that's not *pristine*, IMO, please. I *still* believe that this song is like reading "Discourse on the Method" By Descartes or even "Cem Anos de Solidão" de Gabriel G. Marquez . You need the editor notes - and in the latter case, he just can't explain. Just like "Tangle Up In Blues" by Dylan - and many other musics, you need a little context. I'd love to see a reaction, don't get me wrong. But, his reactions are from a musician. If he "join forces" with his artistic side. Sure enough. Just and *EDIT*: That happened with "Construção" - sure it's a more elaborate poetry. What I'm trying to say is the reaction to _his_ reaction.

Frank, when reacting to songs from Legião Urbana it is important to have the lyrics with you, in the same way that Brazilians like me, while learning English, had the lyrics with them to listen to The Smiths. "Índios" is one of the most beautiful lyrics written by Renato Russo, and even in the early years of the band he did not like to play it live because he did not like to see people jumping in front of such a serious lyrics, as if it were a party . Listen again (with a better translation, perhaps in Italian) and notice the fact that the chorus of the song is slower and softer than the rest of the melody (subverting the clichés of pop music). And you got it right as Joy Division, one of Renato Russo's favorite bands, and a big influence for Legião Urbana. Suggestion of other songs from Legião Urbana that can delight you: ANDREA DOREA, AINDA É CEDO, SOLDADOS, POR ENQUANTO, EU ERA UM LOBISOMEM JUVENIL, A MONTANHA MÁGICA...

I wish, that at least once I’d have back all the gold I gave to whom Got to convince me It was a friendship prove If someone took away even what I didn’t have. I wish, that at least once, I’d forget that I believed it was just for play That they’d always cut cleaning cloths From noble linen and pure silk. I wish, that at least once, I’d explain what no one can understand That what happen is still coming And the future is not like it was before. I wish, that at least once, I’d prove that those who have more than they need Almost always convince themselves that they don’t have enough And that they talk too much because they’ve got nothing to say. I wish, that at least once, The simplest was seen as the most important But they gave us mirrors And we saw an ill world. I wish, that at least once, I’d understand how God is three at the same time And this same God was killed by you - It’s just evil then, make a God so sad. I wanted the danger and even bleed alone. Understand - that way I could bring you back to me. When I found out that’s always only you That gets me from the beginning to the end And it’s only you who have the cure to my addiction Of insisting in this feeling of missing Everything I still haven’t seen. I wish, that at least once, Believe for a moment in everything that exists And believe that the world is perfect And that all people are happy I wish, that at least once, I’d make the world know his name Is in everything and even so Nobody at least thanks him. I wish, that at least once, Like the most beautiful tribe, of the most beautiful indigenes, I wouldn’t be attacked for being innocent. I wanted the danger and even bleed alone. Understand - that way I could bring you back to me. When I found out that’s always only you That gets me from the beginning to the end And it’s only you who have the cure to my addiction Of insisting in this feeling of missing Everything I still haven’t seen.
