Quintessential Kramar-Krommer: fast mov'nt - long lines interwoven with fast notes, slow mov'nt serious & with accompaniement repeating notes creating tension; this is true in all his concertos for woodwinds. As a clarinetist, his concerto in Eb is one of my "horses" on the road and sounds similar to this oboe concerto. His music overall is great sounding & fun to perform, including his great octets for woodwinds! This recording sounds great, too, the soloist obviously knows what he is playing and what he is doing, great oboe player matched to a great piece. Harpsichord6, thank you for publishing it!

Alex Klein.plays very well this concerto well written by Krommer, who is famous for his diverse concertos for winds.

This concerto has a ptotoromzntic style, while other works of Krommer are more resolutely Romantic. Nevertheless, it is a very beautiful work, very well interpretatd.
