If it isn't anymore, try to remember how much fun you've had when you were younger and discovering new things that you loved. You can always make some time for yourself when you want to, whether it be multitasking in the bathroom while ur brushing your teeth, blasting music while ur showering, sitting on the toilet, or a few minutes before you go to sleep. Those small minutes can add up into amazing discoveries after amazing discoveries. If you need a few idea starters on what to look for, maybe just search best new rock music 2024 or 2023, or good new guitarists, all the hobbies that you enjoyed back in the day can all be things that you search up on the internet. Also, if you still enjoy guitar or think you can still have some fun with listening or playing guitar, check out POLYPHIA. They do a lot of instrumental only music and they all fcking bangers. Each of the musicians on the team are so fcking technical with their playing especially the lead guitarist and the drummer. The things that they can do with their instruments are unreal.

I still play guitar, I still record music, believe me - I'm singing and dancing every single day whenever I have the chance! A bit less time while grinding through an engineering degree but, believe me, my passions are very much still alive and I am continuing to enjoy and discover, deepen my love for music with every passing day. I'm happy to say that over these past 7 years I have REALLY found my favorite music genres (dreampop/shoegaze/etc. - I can give you recommendations if you like haha), you know, that GOOD STUFF that just wraps the soul in a glaze of butter like an almond croissant. Franz Ferdinand I still enjoy and admire, just haven't listened to them in a long while hahaha. I have to say that this is song is one of my two favorites on their newest album the second being Evil Eye. Few bands are able to make such consistent music in each album simply because they want to experiment with different musical styles and techniques. This is why i like Franz Ferdinand, they still do some experimentation and yet they still keep the same gritty and quirky style they had a decade ago.

I love their ability to reinvent their sound, and am especially impressed with their lyrics and artistry. I think if their singles make it onto mainstream airwaves, they'll be even more successful than Tonight's slight mainstream flopping.
