Something I think is so defining as a part of their songs is how they split one sentence into two separate lines, and then joint the first part of the next thought into the end of the previous one. it makes it a little difficult to follow, and harder to sing because you don't get a breath to think about what line is next. it makes your brain stay attached to the song waiting to hear the line finished, but before you can think of anything else they've inserted another thought into your head.
