I've done a lot of research on Kelsey Grammer because I love his career, though spotted with tragedy, it is also blasting with victory. He went to school not far from where I live, so when he speaks ad lib, I can relate a lot to where/what he is talking about. He is SUCH a blessing. God bless you Kelsey and family. You have earned every victory you have gathered.

My mom started doing genealogy in 1984. Luckily my maternal great grandparents were still alive. They were a great help with family names and where they live/died. My mom has gotten both sides of our family back to before they came to the colonies. Her family and my dad's family were here in the colonies at least 100 years before the American Revolution. My dad has an ancestor who served under George Washington. We aren't sure if it was directly or not but pretty sure they knew each other.

If Kelsey Grammer should read this, there is a "Dimmick Inn" located in Pennsylvania, and as your kin came from the East Coast (Connecticut I believe is what was stated) this could lead you to another branch on your tree. I really enjoyed the process you went through, though you are much further into your exploration than I have been able to achieve. My Father was an alcoholic, and I think most of us, his children, wished he would have abandoned us and Mom, but who knows, sometimes better the devil you know.

He labelled Ellis a Louse. Seems to me Ellis married Genevieve so her child wasn't born out of wedlock, especially if the math works out that he married her while pregnant. The 8 years until the divorce may well have been to maintain the legal/social protection for the child. Just saying. He gave the child a name, which mattered in that day.

The accusations against Ellis are suspect. The idea that Genoveve wasn't Ellis's daughter never even occurred to either party. The offspring might have been that o another man and that might be the reason for Ellis leaving. I am not saying it is the reason,I am saying it maybe the reason. No one knows. So don't dumon the dead guy unless you know. Speculation isn't knowing. The is a reason why judaism follows. Maternal line. You always know who the mother is, not so with the father.

I know who I am but I have no clue who most of my family are. I have no clue who my mother is, I have no clue who any of my grandparents are, have never met any aunts uncles cousins or anything like that. As for my father I never had a good relationship with him either and he never cared to fill in any of the blanks. The whole family thing has always been this alien world to me, it was something everybody else did. I'm in my 60's now and I find the older I get the less I care about digging into any of that. Most of it is dead and buried now and it's probably best to leave it buried.

I’m an author and an editor. My sister and I would be correct if it’s in the subjective part of the sentence. In the predicate part, it’s my sister and me. If you can take away the other person and leave me and it makes sense, then it’s “and me”. In this case , it is in the predicate, so it’s “raising my sister and me”. You would never say “raising I”.
