Martin’s smirk after “the fine arts forgery department, please” is stuff of legends. I lose it every damn time.
@Christopher_TG Жыл бұрын
It's a great bit in the show but there actually are fine arts fraud task forces in American law enforcement. Fraud within the fine arts world, notably the fixing of auction prices as well as forgery, is a popular method of money laundering in American organized crime. So, as funny as it seems, there are whole teams in various agencies responsible for investigating that kind of crime.

Great stuff. Back in '95, I had a terrible job at a law firm. Gopt out at about 1 am each morning, and had to take a cab back home. This show brings back so many memories. I used to watch it every single week with my parents when I was in high school in the 90s. This was my parents' absolute favorite show back then and they watched it religiously. On the rare occasion when they couldn't watch it when it was on, they taped it. Sadly, they don't make TV like this anymore. Some of the best shows ever came out of the 90s. We sure were spoiled during that decade.

@jrwheeler812 жыл бұрын
@@ksmooth1973 Agreed! I don't even watch the shows that are on TV today and haven't in many years. From the little bit that I have seen, they are absolutely TERRIBLE. The writing is a joke and I've never seen such incompetent, dull acting. Even MTV is a disgrace now. It's supposed to be MUSIC television, but instead all they air now are shows about teens having babies and getting rich from showcasing their stories on MTV. It's utterly disgusting. Pure trash. I'd give anything to be able to go back in time to the 90s when sitcoms had actual value and entertainment!

David knows so well how to wait for the crowd. When he's about to deliver the line and the audience erupts into a second wave, he plays with his cuff or stares at the other actor , then boom. Hes brilliant. 3:06 his lean was off the cuff and he wanted to deliver the punchline, but he waits and plays it. Comedy is all about timing and D.H.P is a metronome of it. I think the writers knew it when they did that whole silent comedy routine for him in later seasons where hes ironing in frasier's apartment

@@BlueSky-tw6iq so your presumption is that because I enjoy older shows and bemoan the current state of TV programming I have not watched a single tv show in the past 10 years? I believe if you think on this for a second you would realize the ignorance of that assumption, after all I obviously have access to the internet so using common sense it would stand to reason that I am also capable of watching modern shows as there are a multitude of websites that allow you to watch TV. If you had really wanted to engage in meaningful conversation you would have politely stated your disagreement, and maybe even suggested a few shows I could watch that you have enjoyed. I may have liked them or I may have found them lacking but it would’ve reflected better on your character. Now i understand that folks like you get your kicks by being unpleasant to people especially over a keyboard where retaliation is not possible but how about instead of using this platform as an instrument to spread discontent you grow up and try to engage with people who have differing opinions in a respectful way. Also, why do you defend TV programming so vehemently? You work for a station or something? I am just curious why you took time out of your day to write that response there has to be a reason, your life is not that empty where you have nothing better to do other than offer a reply which brings nothing to the conversation on a random KZbin video.
