A blessing is a Holy ritual that honors God. This to me is offensive and I am not even of the Jewish faith. It's like they are poking fun of the Jewish language and the Jewish religion and customs. It's sad that comedy is used to desensitize bullying of minorities. Suddenly, people get angry with minorities who are upset or angry or reactive to these offensives which others find petty and funny because they have been desensitized with comedy with TV shows. It's sad, it's an attack on religious freedoms. It's a glorification of bullying of others.
@Fatherofheroesandheroines2 жыл бұрын
You have no sense of humor. The whole point is that Frasier gets the wrong language off of a bad source who tells him it's Jewish. It's basically making fun of people trying too hard. Get over yourself snowflake.

@aneamarlivana172 Жыл бұрын
They are not poking fun at the Jewish religion. You really do need to see the entire episode. Frasier wants to give a blessing in Hebrew at his son, Freddy's, Bar Mitzvah, so he asks a Jewish acquaintance, Noel Shemsky, who is also a big Star Trek fan, to write out the blessing in Hebrew for him. Noel then asks Frasier if he would do him a favor in return and go to a Star Trek convention and get William Shatner's autograph. Frasier thoughtlessly never makes it to the convention, and Noel is not happy, but he writes out the blessing anyway, of course not telling Frasier that he's written it in Klingon rather than Hebrew to exact a bit of revenge on Frasier. There is no making fun of the Hebrew language and the Jewish religion or the Bar Mitzvah ceremony. The whole episode is about how Frasier, who is not Jewish, wants to honor his Jewish son (raised by his mother, Frasier's ex-wife) by reading a passage in Hebrew at the ceremony. The fact that the son gets the respect of a kid (the one who translates the Klingon into English) with whom he's always had a conflict is a nice bonus...made even nicer because the kid thinks Freddy has a very cool dad.
