I love how Roz protects Niles here. In earlier seasons, they couldn't stand each other, now she has his back! I love them here!
@ericandy888 жыл бұрын
I think towards the end of the series (particularly, after Niles finally confessed his feelings for Daphne & even Roz was shipping them), they had kind of tempered their feud & if not become friends, at least came to an understanding & respected each other. Most shows would play that string until it breaks (or it goes off the air), rather than let relationships grow.
@meldme5 жыл бұрын
Roz and Niles were pretty much friends by this time. It was only his indifference to her, and his jibes in the first half of the show’s run which slowed down the friendship. They were pretty close by the end of the series. Roz didn’t need to sit vigil for him when he underwent heart surgery but she did. There were very few jibes between the two characters in the last couple of seasons.
@BollocksUtwat5 жыл бұрын
Roz woulda always looked out for him I think even in the earlier seasons. Just because you don't get along doesn't mean you suddenly abandon people you know to a crisis. That's the difference between not getting along and actually loathing another person. Plus she has to work with Frasier. Its not gonna be great going forward to have to explain why you did nothing when he was on his way over.

This scene is so wonderfully written, but the kicker for me is the slow, gradual breakdown of Niles. He doesn’t go crazy, or fly into a panic, he just goes, sits down, gets naked, and tunes everything out. Panic attacks hit people differently and props to the writers for going this direction, not just because it’s better for the comedy gags, but also a little more honest.
@davidgraham26732 жыл бұрын
I worked with a guy who had epileptic seizures. He would get completely quiet, then do an odd task, like take a box of kleenex, carefully open it completely, then remove all the kleenex, and carefully place them back exactly where they had been before. We would give him a Pepsi, he'd quietly drink it, and a few minutes later, he'd be fine. He was always a nice guy, pleasant to work with.

This is one of my favorite Roz moments in the whole show! She doesn’t fully understand what’s going on, but she knows that her friend is in danger and takes immediate action to keep him safe. Honestly the directors of Frasier definitely made the best choice of the show's history casting David Hyde Pierce as "Niles". Originally it was just because he looked eerily like Kelsey Grammer in the early 80's (first appearance as Dr. Frasier Crane in Cheers), but in very short time it became so evident that Pierce portrayed Niles's character perfectly, with an exacting amount of lovable pretension, and almost stole the show from Grammer. In all honesty, the most heartwarming part of the show in my opinion is when Niles and Daphne finally become a couple.

You have to love Roz. She's always been there, done that, but in a charming way.

+Kyle Butler the great thing is thought....we have now 2 broke girls which is just shitty sex pun after sex pun....then you watch shows like Frasier,Seinfeld,friends,cheers... and you get to watch all those seasons and laugh at true comedy.

What a fantastic scene. The last straw, Roz's comment to the waiter, Frasier and Niles' little chat. I like when Frasier does gritty humor.

Man this scene was so funny, I wish Nyles and Daphne were in the revival. Especially with how they would be like with David hopefully in season 3 or 4 we see Nyles again in the revival.

Man, I love this episode. That was one of my two favorite Frasier scenes. And Nyles is so hilariously dry!
