The Zeitwerk is on my wish list under category "unattainable". It looks is so modern - together with classic elements. There is nothing like it.

On my search for a top notch dress watch, I had the opportunity to go and check out all the top brands - VC patrimony, JLC master thin, Patek Calatrava, and Lange 1815. All in one day. The Lange was far and beyond above any of the other brands. Weirdly, I looked at Patek after Lange and I was underwhelmed by the Patek which I did not expect. It’s Lange for me.

Give me them 3 split-chronos (seconds, minutes, and hours) from Lange 🤩 The trilogy unbeatable they are!🔥🔥🔥 Questions for next episode - 1. Have you ever faced snobbery from any brand when doing watch journalism? 2. Did you ever share a watch review and your opinions publicly about which you later look back and don't like it / regret? 3. Which watch brand would you like to be a CEO of? And what would you do? 3 questions for 3 people in front of the camera. 1 question for the person behind the camera - Do you prefer to edit watch photos and videos with digital wizardry or do you prefer to keep them neat, just like a great scotch? @Fratello folks, i like your content and talks. They are different to many others in the same space. Be like Rolex. Don't change. 🤘

Cabaret was great. The Arkade was the one that I would say was the mistake

Enjoyed listening (as always) now time for some questions for the 100th episode (congrats btw 🎉) Cameraman Matthias - what camera and lens setup do you use for recording the podcasts? Lex - what is the most frequent pitfall that newer watch enthusiasts fall into, in your opinion? Robert - if given the keys to the Omega workshop, what would your perfect Speedmaster build look like? Nacho - titanium Navitimer, what are your thoughts/feelings/emotions on this?

I remember looking at Lange watches before 1994. I saw them first in like 1990.

Hopefully there will be a Part 2 that shows and talks about the 30th anniversary Lange 1’s.

yeah. don't know what they actually talked about in this episode that had anything to do with the 30th anniversary release.

Excuse my ignorance... but what was/is wrong with the Cabaret? Looks pretty good to me. I don't see people complaining about the reverso.

Nothing, it was one of the best rectangular watches imo. Too bad they are rare and have gone up in price so much.

This show is super nice, to use Lex and RJ's favourite expression. And a great episode as well. I'm incredibly jealous of you guys getting to try on all these Langes in the metal. They recently dropped the only AD in my town.

I had to stop listening after about the 15 minute mark unfortunately. Guys you are doing a podcast, stop interrupting each other.

Great video as usual! Question: given a set budget of $10,000 after which you cannot buy any more watches, would you rather have 5-10 watches or just 1? Which would you go for? (I'd have to have 10, as I love variety)

The Lange Saxonia (manual wind) line is being discontinued I heard! Is it only the manual wind that is being discontinued or the whole model range? Any comments
@thestefsterbun18209 күн бұрын
Yep. I think they will slowly phase out all their "entry-level" watches and only do the higher-end pieces moving forward. There is such huge demand for those and not enough skilled watchmakers so the focus will likely be to fill all those orders as they would be the most profitable. Its a business after all!

Good topic. I wish it was discussed more in detail. But guys please let each other complete. It's a terrible podcast experience when you guys are trying to talk over each other. Try listening to it as a podcast (not KZbin) , I stopped listening to fratello talks because of this cross talk, the topic on this podcast seemed interesting but immediately regretted people trying to put ones point over other.

Same for me. It's so enjoying when he is on the talk. It's more like a monologue.

Difference between German and Swiss top tier watchmaking: they're both top notch, but personnel costs and cost of living in Germany is considerably less. So for comparable quality - in Germany you pay way less compared to the Swiss counterpart.
