Thanks for the video Fratello! informative review. One constructive advise, maybe on later videos could you zoom on the watch while its being handled? That way you can see the watch on different angles instead of still shots with only the chronograph hand moving. Awesome content anyway

Thanks for the tip. We will do that for sure in upcoming videos.

You guys were talking Aquastar, but I couldn’t take my eyes off Gerald double wristing. Seems you can’t escape the Apple Watch these days, which is quite ironical when reviewing a vintage inspired dive watch.

Glad to see the genius behind the Doxa resurgence doing this. I love Doxa, and this is exciting. I hope they are reasonable and accessible.

If this has Rick Marei behind it... it's going to be a fantastic watch and brand. Does that mean it's part of the Jenny group?
@MostlyRight884 жыл бұрын
Having Rick behind it made me pre-order one. I think the Jenny group is involved, got an email from the Doxa mailing list...

I got this a few weeks back. It was beautiful. It works accurately. I did not wear the watch in those few weeks. Then this morning when I tried to unscrew the crown and tried to wind it, it gave me this squeaking sound. I thought I was doing it in the wrong position (position 2 according to their video) but I wasn't. The weird thing is that after I pulled it slightly more, it went to a position which is free-wheeling as in not engaged with anything. The position 3 is working to change the time. Now, I'm wondering if this is normal at all. Otherwise, it's a beautiful timepiece.
@Seriously1403 жыл бұрын
Yes the crown on these feel free wheeling in position 3 when setting the time. At least mine does. I have dozens of watches of all price ranges and it does not feel normal to me.

Does this revival mean they will reissue parts for the Benthos as well? I would love to restore my dads old series II

Just got one of these delivered. The bottom button is broken and will not reset the chronograph. The bezel is not fully snug and you can feel it rock side to side. Did no one check basic functionality before shipping? This is terrible.
@FratelloMagazine3 жыл бұрын
Agreed. You need to see how they'll solve it.

Too bad we only see picts from the brand, you have the luck to show us the watch but we don"t see anything....

The pics of the watch are ones we took (not the brand). Perhaps you mean the watch moving in the video? We will take care of that in the next videos, thanks.

Following up on my Deepstar that was delivered defective to me. The bottom button will not reset the chronograph. I emailed Aquastar explaining this, asking for a return shipping label and a refund. They sent the following email: "thank you for your email, this sounds like you don’t have enough power reserve to operate the chronograph. Please insure you have wound the movement. Please also explain what you mean by “I am pushing the top button to stop the chronograph” and also “When I push the bottom button to reset the chronograph nothing happens” are you doing this at the same time or can you please elaborate.." I don't find it an appropriate response and am getting my credit card company involved.
@Seriously1403 жыл бұрын
@Clay Denos The credit card company said Aquastar's behavior is inexcusable. They are asking Aquastar to refund me. If Aquastar will not do that the credit card company will forcibly take the money from Aquastar. Aquastar continues to send me insulting emails suggesting I did not wind the watch, that I did not push the buttons in the correct order so it is my fault the watch is jammed, that I agreed to terms and conditions that the pre-order is not refundable, that they check every watch 5 times so I must be mistaken, that I can pay to have the watch repaired. I don't understand their fanatical resistance to just doing the right thing. Send me a return label and refund me. Why is this so hard for them? I will certainly never buy anything from them. Even if the watch worked the build quality is terrible. The bezel rocks back and forth. When you set the time, the crown and stem feel barely connected to anything with a cheap feeling like a Chinese Seiko cloned movement. The strap does not fully fill the lugs and the watch head moves back and forth on the strap.

@@Seriously140 now I really regret my preorder of the green version. But as they say, it's not even refundable... I haven't heard any watch company with this shitty attitude. This is outrageous.
@Seriously1403 жыл бұрын
@@lujeffrey5760 Yes. I don’t know why they are so hostile. They did not even respond to the credit card chargeback so I guess I am going to end up with a free broken watch. I have not worn it since my initial complaint. Even Aquastar doesn’t want their own junk back.
