I'm a new, older watch enthusiast who has recently in the last month found myself clicking anytime I see content from Fratello. I really enjoy the "Fratello Talks" segments and appreciate the discussions you all have. I'll never own a lot of the brands mentioned, but when they are brought up there is some historical context given about them and I do want to learn about their significance in the watch industry. Besides learning something new every time I'm always entertained. RJ's (I hope I got his name right) under the radar sneaky quick one liners and dry sense of humor has me laughing. Great job and I look forward to seeing more this year. Happy New Year wishing all of you the best in 2025!

Fun friendly banter to start the year, but guys, stop talking over each other!

Hopefully 2025 is a year for IWC, Panerai, and JLC to shine. Something distinctly different yet simple and affordable. Definitely back to basics but with a difference.

I hope to see more ultra-thin models in 2025. I also suspect a lot of the smaller (micro)brands will be bought up by the big conglomerates.

An updated Seamaster bracelet is really about due. And I wish they would do something about the thickness. Nacho still has the best modern Seamaster.

I think Breitling will be one of the brands in focus in 2025. Would you perhaps dedicate an episode covering Breitling? Not predictions, but the three fases: 1) The classic era (start to the 80s) then 2) The Scheider era (with bold and not so elegant watches) and phase 3 from 2017 to 2025 with a more modern take on Breitling. Eposode plot: "What Breitlings from those eras would you bring to the table and why?" A nice challenge for a Fratello Talks episode. :)

the talking over each other is really annoying, please try to cut down on this.

Thank you for the information. Was afraid of that. Then I maybe skip this episode or find another where the conditions are better.

May I suggest you all wear headphones so that you can hear yourselves talking over each other? I think the side-tone will help minimize this habit.

Tintin has just entered the public domain on Jan 1st 2025. Copyright terms expire after 95 years. Relaunch of a Tintin Speedy?

Happy new year. Singing together is ok; talking together less ok (impossible to understand)

I agree. Maybe you all need to have a speaking stick - holder is the only one that can speak. There was one video that you seemed to be better but now it is as bad or maybe worse. I'm right at the edge of never watching again. Civility should be discussed.

I want to see a whole new SMP 300. New hands, no toothpaste cap, 3mm thinner, grippable bezel, and a bracelet that tapers. I'd also like to see Tudor going strictly with grade 5 titanium. Another thing, I'd like to see Thierry Stern get arrested from something minor but really embarrassing. It would also be good if microbrands discovered modules and thin bases, you know, for a chronograph under 15mm thick. Finally, I'd like to see the wing of Sellita where the SW-200 is made burn down, with all documents, machines and tooling lost.

Great conversation. I was thinking macro when I saw the title: I predict another year of cautious releases from many brands given the down economies around the globe. The Tudor ceramic with the blue dial is available on the US site. And my AD did offer me one a few months ago. I am a great driver.

Can we have one episode with no Rolex please..enjoy the channel
@robertp512318 күн бұрын
Agreed….its getting boring to constantly to hear about Rolex. Yes, it’s a great brand but let’s move on. Let’s talk about Omega Museum collection timepieces or Omega Constellation- Globemaster green dial annual calendar. These are watches that the enthusiasts need to know more about. Nacho, please make this happen.

Not sure Omega will observe the anniversary of Ed White wearing the Speedy in space - last year was the 55th anniversary of the Apollo XI moon landing and they didn't commemorate that with an anniversary LE despite having done so every 5 years for a long time.

Based on omega boutique rumors I heard, I’d bet on a titanium moonwatch and the leaked bronze gold seamaster no date on a Milanese is coming around the time of watches and wonders 2025 (to get some attention away from the coronet brand that always dominates on that event).

Big watches will come back... but not after 2-3 years like now. Only now is the mainstream zeitgeist fully turning back to smaller watches. We are only now seeing consistent downsizing for most new releases. Big watches seem to have been a trend for at least 15 years. Probably 20. So I suspect it might be 2030 before we see a revival of big watches from a new generation of people entering the watch market.
