Insects might just be aliens. For example i keep giant water bugs as pets. They are 4 inch long cockroach looking things with HUGE buff fore legs they travel up to 14 kph underwater and have the 3rd most painful bite known to man. My pet ones have snapped my iron inforced feeding tweezers multiple times. Also they can see 360 degrees and have feathered back legs for propulsion. Oh and did i mention they can fly? Yeah its horrifying and it sounds like a helicopter. I've found them hiding in my bedroom in the middle of the night a couple times and it really doesn't help that their eyes glow bright neon red in flashlights. They eat insects fish frogs tadpoles snakes turtles lizards the occasional duckling and even pythons! Basically just horrifying fighter jet submarine hybrid cockroaches. Oh wait i forgot to say HOW they eat... Sooooo this probably isnt something you will believe but they actually have needles for mouths that first paralyze the prey with toxins before they inject it with acid that Liquifies they preys inards and muscle tissue, thay then slurp it up leaving a hollow shell of an animal.
