It will cover the annoying light, but if it *looks* like you put tape on it, and/or it slips down, and it gets your fingers tacky when you handle it there...that would be a fail. Tape is great in cool, dry, and hidden areas. I have some on a ridiculous 'power on' light for an extension cord. The blue light is unreasonably annoying, so I taped it and tucked it under the sofa. eh, not really. Whether it's useful is down to the individual, but cost-wise it's a bit more complicated than just "IT PLASTIC, THAT MEAN IT CHEAP". High quality plastic isn't actually all that cheap, then factor in you're paying for food safety certifications, packaging, distribution, etc. and it's really not all that shocking. If I had to guess they're probably making a ~4usd margin including all direct and indirect costs, potentially less if the MSRP is lower than what was paid for here. (for instance MSRP of 9.99) That's not nothing since it's about a third of the total cost, but all things considered it's nowhere near bad. Even if you 3d printed it yourself with 100% infill which would not be food safe, dishwasher safe, and may melt on you if you set a hot spoon on it, you'd still be looking at probably 1-2usd+ worth of material alone. That would be a 10x cost reduction, but at that point the product can't even do it's job anymore since the materials and production methods your using just aren't fit to task. (not to mention that's sidestepping aaaaallll of the other costs, like distribution, certification, etc.)

Nice video recap at the end.

If you warm up the limes, you get more juice out of them. You could microwave them for about 20-30 seconds or sear them in a pan.

I'd put the egg cracker second. Especially for people who need a spoon rest anyway. Even if you don't use it for eggs, it is useful.

I’m out at the $12 price tag for a spoon rest. But it does fit the bill.

@@jpendowski7503 I don't think $12 is any worse than the higher ranked $15 lime eating green Pac Man. Or the $15+ Snack memory game that you can't fit more than like 2 tiny pieces of any snack in. They should have gone with 12 trays in a 3x4 grid. Make it easier for the kids who randomly pick, rather than the better go in order (like he does in this video), as well has allowing for the trays to be able to hold a more reasonable sized snack.

PSA for the egg cracker: professional chefs tell you not to crack your eggs on "edges" of things since that tends to push shell into the egg. This causes both small egg shell bits to get into the egg and for contamination outside of the shell to worm its way into the egg. Neither are big issues unless you are preparing raw or undercooked egg products, but I just found it funny that the egg cracker is basically the apotheosis of edges. It is nothing but edge. So if you're inclined toward the advice of professional chefs, this product is verboten.
