she was actually pretty great in Georgia Rule, too. it was a more mature role for her at the time but done so well and realistically. I've always thought of Lohan as a bit of a prodigy; she was a fantastic actress at such a young age. most kid actors aren't great for lack of life experience and coaching but she seemed to have a natural talent for acting. it makes me sad to see her in her current state. everyone makes fun of her but she clearly needs help and has shown likely signs of trauma for a long time, and knowing Hollywood, well..

Even when I had a room my family gave no shits about coming in whenever they wanted or looking through my stuff. I basically spent my life with no privacy, ESPECIALLY after having kids lol. I think it all made me feel indifferent about privacy. BUT FOR ME. I do not invade my kids privacy. I am hoping to do a little better with them. That's the goal for most parents right? Seriously annoyed home ec, parenting classes in schools aren't there to cover this stuff and give people a basic idea of things you probably shouldn't do as a parent. there was a time when my mother's (toxic) boyfriend was already living with us for a while. There was a day before I left to go to school, I locked my bedroom´s door and putted a note saying that I had locked it for my cat who was in in mating season not to mark territory there. When I came back from school, the door was broken, there were literally pieces of the frame on the floor. And my mom's boyfriend turned to me and said "I needed to open it to get more air in the apartment". It was obvious that we didn't get along, and my mother? She defended him. Nothing strange for a mother´s boyfriend breaking the door of a 16-year-old teenager so that she could not lock it. We lived together for about 4 years, and he was not reliable. @dragongirl79784 жыл бұрын
@@efoxkitsune9493 It's rehearsing the wedding ceremony, and includes a dinner. But yeah, it's been made into a much bigger deal than it actually makes sense to be. I feel like yes, it makes sense to rehearse the ceremony just so you get any possible kinks worked out, but it could be done in like half an hour, it doesn't have to be an actual event lol.
@zauberkind48274 жыл бұрын
@@dragongirl7978 That concept always baffled me in movies or tv shows. In Germany, we don't do rehearsals, dinner or otherwise. It's traditional to have a huge party the night before the wedding so everyone who's not invited to the ceremony can and will celebrate with the couple. It involves smashing china and anything ceramic, including but not limited to toilet bowls, lots of alcohol and generally stuff you wouldn't do at a wedding reception. The fun part is to see people trying to not look hungover during the actual wedding. Some couples combine the two events into one.

Rehearsal dinners I've been to haven't really been fancy. It's just the wedding party (and the kids/partners of the wedding party) going out to eat after the "rehearsal" wedding, which is just a quick blocking thing to make sure everyone knows where they're walking the day of. Usually it's a restaurant like the Mandarin (in Canada), or some other mid-tier place that's nicer than a Chili's or something. It's just a get together. This movie makes it super fancy for some reason.

BIG SAME, "YOU SUCK THE FUN OUT OF EVERYTHING, FUN SUCKER"
@Power2theSlinkey4 жыл бұрын
For a second I was afraid you wouldn't mention Josie and the Pussycats but you did so thank you for that! I feel like that movie deserves it's own video! It is 100% early 2000's greatness! The commentary on the music industry and the way it manipulates naive artists to change their image for the label's profit and the use of product placement throughout to show how we're constantly being bombarded with ads that tell us how to think, feel, look, and dress by big corporations(again for profit) is just... chefs kiss! There are definitely some early 2000's "humor" that doesn't hold up but it does also have a lot of commentary that is still very relevant today. For example Rosario Dawsons character being snubbed clearly just bc she's black.

The acting is so so so good-- honestly the turning points for each of the characters being done by the opposite actors are just chef's kiss and it even made me cry just watching those pieces in this video. (Also I have some residual sadness about the way that LL's life arc has gone over the years, in no small part because of the way that Hollywood treats young women)
