the "point" of Freddies act was the he struck to a pure 50s style act, which was needed as very few folk kept it authentic at that time, so very few people got a chance to feel it in their face, whereas sutch and emmerson gave it a 60s/70s twist and their bass players just did that electric plod, or tried to 70s it out too much. though both were excellent at what they did do. what you are doing here, is, for example, trying toi compare a fish to a fruit bat. though Freddie and Sutch both had a rustic feel in common.
