Ghetto Woman. Freddie was a great influence on Eric Clapton and many others who have followed Clapton.
Freddie was born in Texas in 1934. His family moved to Chicago in 1950. In 1962 he moved to Dallas. He died December 28,1976. He was survived by his wife Jessie and seven children. He was only 42 year's old. Another to die young. Buy his CD'd - try Hideaway or King of the Blues. There are many, many Cd's & DVD's available on Amazon: www.amazon.com/... Keep the Blues Alive!

Freddy King, BB KIng and Albert King the 3 great blues guitar players. LIsten to Albert King. He is the best at blues power. I' m from Texas, I know Freddie King from the 60's..Every young guitar including Stevie Ray Vaughan cut their licks from Freddie. I thank God for his talent6 and his music. He lived in Dallas in the Palace of the King..

Losing Freddie King at the early age of 42 has been one of the worst disasters in music history (in the Blues music and in music in general).

Let me you, people like Michael, bb, Albert, James brown…. They never die. Go turn on the Tv, you will see they are still performing on the stage but with different faces. They are immortal. There is nothing to be sad about.

@@joseangelhernaiz-cotrina3461 but what about the bassist ? the young one, why he talked about him at this time ? the bassist part of family of the two other big King (s) ?
@joseangelhernaiz-cotrina3461
@joseangelhernaiz-cotrina3461 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Denis, the bassist at that time, Benny Turner, was Freddie King's own younger bother. That is what he mentioned in the interviewed that unlike Albert King and BB King that were 'almost' like brothers but in fact real good friends, Benny is his REAL family.

Anybody know where this was shot? At end it is clearly a casino. Or what tv program this as called? Also I think this is 1971 or 72. Freddie says he is 37 and he says ghetto woman was released last year and it was released by BB in 1971
