Frederick Bulsara was born on 5th September 1946.
Freddie Mercury passed the majority of his childhood time in India, which is also where he began taking piano lessons at just the age of 7 while living with relatives. In 1954, when he was 8, Freddie Mercury was sent to study at St. Peter's School, a British-style boarding school for boys, in Panchgani near Bombay.
No one could foresee where a love of music would take him. 25 years after his birth, in London under the name of Freddie Mercury, he was fronting the now legendary rock group, Queen. What a gigantic turn of events it must've been.

Me too lady. I loved Queens music that was hitting on the radio & within the last year ,,,I suppose because of the movie coming out,,, there has been a resurgence of their concerts & film footage of them in the studio that made me just really fall in love with them. Especially Freddie who WAS THE BEST FRONTMAN & SINGER OF ALL TIMES. He was THE BOMB & QUEEN STILL IS THE BOMB!!! MUCH LOVE TO THE ONES LEFT BEHIND.

I love those baby pictures. He was beautiful & adorable. I think he looks like his Mother. His sister is just stunning. I think he had a very interesting childhood. Made him have the ability to adapt to life well. I think he was the most handsome when cut his hair short & grew the mustache. Hmm. Lovely Darling.
